Replying to my own comment, but realizing that BB and AP’s defense teams might one day look at this board as a fact finding way of validating some of what they think the general public (aka a jury) would think, and strategize accordingly. I’m going to be more careful about giving my two cents. Never know how your reactions to things can be useful insight to people that you don’t want to be useful to.

-BBs car leaving the house/ neighborhood
-Juliana and Child leaving
- JR’s car getting to the house if in fact it was that morning
-Juliana coming back
- BB returning
-911 calls

Yep, as we’ve been saying but people reported those post saying it was untrue, slander/speculation

Except that law enforcement has previously said on more than one occasion that CB and JR were known to each other - that implies that police believe that CB actually did set up the fetish account. If this is true, it's possible there was no set up and there are other potential scenarios. For example, maybe the au pair came home and saw the car, knew BB would be upset that JR was there and so called him to let him know. BB comes home and there is an argument and the au pair ends up shooting JR to "protect" BB. That's when the first call to 911 is made but au pair hangs up because BB is thinking on the fly and grabs the phone or something. They decide to kill CB as well because she knows what went down, and then they can pin this on JR. After CB is stabbed (by who?), another 911 call is made. This also works with CB still being alive when police arrived, because she was killed last. In this scenario, I would not be surprised if the au pair committed both murders.

Of course, this is all conjecture. I don't think police have said who died first, etc. Just pointing out that there are other potential scenarios.

So let me get this straight….before 8am AP drives BACK to the house because she “forgot her (the 4year olds) lunch”? School is maybe 5 minutes down the road and doesn’t start until 9am, try again.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. She was enrolled in a local preschool and it was not a holiday so I assumed she would have been going to school….not the zoo in the middle of February at 7am

Yes, they have, he was dead on arrival, and she was not declared dead until she went to the hospital. That being said, that does not indicate who was assaulted first. A Shooting is much different than a stabbing.

You might want to take the time to actually read what the au pair's lawyer is telling the court. Your imagination is not keeping up with the facts that are being presented as the au pair's defense. She says that Ryan was stabbing CB. BB shot him first in the head, but didn't kill him. Ryan was staggering around, so BB told au pair to get his gun from the bathroom, and then SHE shot Ryan through the heart and killed him.

I'm not making this up. It's in the links reporting what was said in court today on AP's behalf. This is her defense. She may think that if she sticks to this story that she can get off with a not guilty for self defense. She may not, in fact, turn on BB if she thinks they both can walk.

IF she does turn on BB, I fully expect it to come with a full serving of "he was controlling me and I had no way to escape -- he MADE ME DO IT!" But, given the way they have woven her defense story, she might think she can convince enough jurors to get off free.

I am a Fairfax resident.
I was an au pair back in 2013 and I have an au pair now, from Brazil as well. She said they have a group on WhatsApp and that’s where one of Juliana’s friends released those photos of BB and Juliana together.

Apparently Juliana would post those photos on IG restricted to “close friends” and she has been doing so since her extension, in October 2022. She never mentioned, though, that her boyfriend and her boss were the same person to anyone.

This same girl said in the group that Juliana was a member of another group dedicated to Brazilians that date American guys and in there she would complain all the time about the attention her “boyfriend”, a 38 yo man, would give to his daughter. Stating that he made her feel like the little girl was more important than her.
She said she remembers that clearly because she Juliana would post frequently and that comment was so ridiculous that she never forgot…

Anyways, as a Psychology major, I’m always interested in understanding how people’s mind work and I really want to know how all of this happened. Hopefully the little girl is somewhere safe with CB’s mom.

Glad for this outcome, she is clearly a flight risk as a Brazilian national. And if they can prove it, she seems to have murdered a man in cold blood. She should not be able to flee to Brazil and live her best life, kwim?

Now she has 2 months before her next hearing to decide if in her chats with LE she wants to tell the truth about what happened.

LE wants as strong a case as possible against Brendan Robert Banfield.

Especially if he is growing increasingly erratic under pressure and on leave, I hope the little girl is safe. Someone who could do what he seemed to do last February is capable of anything, even something as banal as crashing their car while speeding.
