She has received tons of properties and her kids have moved up in society beyond what their own father could do. Charles is an incredibly stupid and impatient king. The Queen knew very well that Camilla leaves a bad taste with many people. Her wish was for Camilla to follow Philips title of Prince Consort with Camilla becoming Princess Consort. Her biggest mistake was giving into Charles pestering. He probably threatened to make her Queen the minute his mother died and she gave in.

By making a big show of dropping the consort from side chick’s title and breaking tradition to include her grandchildren in the coronation he has inadvertently focused attention off himself and stirred up the old controversy.
