NNAT 137, CogAT 123 Composite, GBRS 9

VCI 138, PRI 145, FSIQ 146

The WISC was an amazing process. We learned so much about our DC's learning style.

Such a roller coaster. Good luck everybody with appeals.

Congrtualtions !!

it could be 14 or 16 in our list.. or 14 and 16 could be just this DC.

Not the end of the world. People do this all the time. I suspect the child will grow up to be perfectly fine.

Just checked and accepted.

NNAT 99%, CogAt 98%, Mostly O report card, GBRS 9.
VCI 126, PRI 149, FSIQ 142

My DC is #1 on the forum list. VCI is 126 not 127.
GBRS was clearly the key for first round rejection, and this was clearly a case for an appeal.

I don't really have any hard feeling for the teacher. She's a very good teacher and very professional.
She gave her honest assessment on the GBRS rating to the best of her ability.

However it was her first year for a teacher in FCPS.
I think there's a certain degree of inconsistency and subjectiveness in GBRS rating whole system wise.
part of the reason for my DC's mediocre GBRS is probably because my DC is an introvert.
I guess that's why there's appeal process.
For my DC, it all worked out to be a happy ending or I would say starting.

Hi
I am sorry but what were her scores if u dont mind posting

Thanks to everyone for kind words and thoughts. I don't know her scores, but I can tell you that she was just a few points below the the cut off for the pool. They decided not to retest their daughter as they didn't want her to know they were appealing. Her teacher was shocked that she didn't get in and encouraged the parents to appeal.

So you referred your DD in the first place?

They really must think highly of WISC score, and over 130 seems to be in a safe zone.

Congrats!
