But because you won't do the responsible thing and enroll:
1) Flashing traffic light: Red: Treat as a stop sign. Yellow: Proceed with caution; you have the right of way. If unnecessarily stop, you're creating a hazard. 2) Completely out traffic light: Treat as an all way stop. The number of people who would stop at a flashing yellow and yet cruise through a light showing nothing is insane. 3) Lane drop: Use all of lane until the merge point and then alternate. If you play Hero and block people from the ending lane from merging because your fragile mind thinks you're being cut, you're the cause of the backup. I'm sorry that this is too hard for many of you, but if that's the case, get off the road with your weapons. And yes Seminary Rd. Karen from Wednesday, your little smirk over ending up one car length in front of me at the next red light. I stand by the gesture I made to you, although I doubt that you could process what it means. Jesus may have saved your breasts, but unfortunately not your brain cells; much less your soul. Good luck with that. |
| If you hear a siren, PULL OVER. Don't try to go around the person in front of you who is doing the right thing by PULLING OVER. |
Oh, woops, I didn't read the post until the end before I posted about the sirens. You are an a-hole, OP. |

Setting aside the escalating situation on Seminary Road
Here are the updated rules for Maryland: https://roads.maryland.gov/mdotsha/pages/pressreleasedetails.aspx?PageId=818&newsId=1254#:~:text=Flashing%20red%20and%20yellow%20lights,when%20the%20intersection%20is%20clear. |
I think that many US drivers don't honestly understand this concept. Is it taught in driver's ed? |
| Unpopular opinion I think every driver should retake a written driving test every time their licenses up for renewal. |
NP. I never took drivers ed. It's not a requirement or even offered in most states. I read the manual and then took a test. My parents taught me how to drive and signed off that I had the correct amount of hours. |
+ this times a million! Pull over, get out of the way!!! |
Ah. This explains a lot. |
AND let people merge back in the same order. You should not rev past the person in front of you just because the ambulance passed you first. |
|
can we add to the list
headlights... you do not need to use your brights(hi-beams) during the day, and if someone in front of you is tapping their brakes repeatedly but not slowing down. check to see if you brights are on. if you miss your turn. its ok to continue driving until the next opportunity comes up to make a turn and double back. Don't stop in the traffic lane with your turn signal on.... Yes i'm talking to you ladies trying to get into tysons from 123 put the phone down. if my 25K ford has blue tooth, yes your 100K mecedes has it as well. have your kid set it up for ya. you do look like an idiot holding you cell phone like a walkie talkie |
I have literally never heard of this, although admittedly I almost never drive with my high beams on. I thought the "high beams" that are so annoying these days are just those crazy new headlights some people use. |
Same here, but my parents taught me how to merge. Including with a lane drop. |
What do you mean by drivers’ ed not not even being offered in most states? Do you just mean via public schools? Because everyone I grew up with took private lessons, and we were not rich. Drivers’ ed should be required everywhere, it’s ridiculous that it’s not. |
I would support. Think how many less drivers would be on the road. |
