It’s utterly depressing that there is no where to escape this crap.

| MoCo is becoming more vibrant and diverse. This is a feature not a bug. |
Going to be awesome when Kate Stewart extends her record on crime and public safety from Takoma Park to N. Bethesda. https://www.niche.com/places-to-live/takoma-park-montgomery-md/crime-safety/ |
As someone who lives near Pike and Rose, I would like to read more about it. But I can’t find this story on any other website. And the link above has almost no info. Is this being hushed up? Or does no one care? |
| It’s just equity in the distribution of crime. If people keep voting soft-on-crime, soft-on-crime is what we are all going to get. |
This is such a stupid analysis but I know that won't stop you from repeating it every time a crime is reported here. |
Just say you hate hispanics and blacks and be done with it. |
|
| This is unfortunate and I also wish there was more information about the circumstances. |
Also:
|
| Probably just an expensive car backfiring. |
Most definitely. Just like all the other incidents in Montgomery County that have happened recently. Check out the Bethesda Apple store thread. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1089896.page Local politicians want to keep it quiet because it reflects poorly on their leadership. Local businesses want to keep it quiet because they want to keep shoppers coming. Business has been tough for brick and mortar stores with everyone switching to online shopping during the pandemic. In person shopping is finally coming back and crime at the malls/stores is not good for business. |
I don’t know what you’re talking about. Pike and Rose has been absolutely booming. |
| Progressivism is so exhausting. I guess criminals get most of the progress since they're allowed to expand everywhere and ruin everything. |
Okay? But for about a year during Covid, things were most definitely not ‘booming’. Places like Pike and Rose and Montgomery Mall do not want to advertise any crime, lest people feel hesitant about visiting stores there. |
