The apology for what Stanford did to Jewish applicants is appropriate, for what was in their own words "appalling Anti-Semitic behavior".
Shedding light on antisemitism is worthy of standing on its own.
Of course, in addition, discrimination in any form is wrong.

Waiting for Harvard’s apology to Asians. Some of the things that came out in that trial about how admissions officers systematically stereotyped and ranked Asian candidates lower were truly appalling
