What a horrible tragedy for this family; I cannot imagine the emotional pain they’re in or the physical pain the mother is in (she was critically injured trying to protect her children from being mauled by the family dogs; since upgraded to serious condition). A two year old and a five month old are dead. https://wreg.com/news/local/children-dead-mother-injured-after-dog-attack-scso/amp/
You already know what breed of dog this was; we need to ban pit bulls. There are 190 dog breeds in the United States alone. How many of them weren’t bred for blood sport? How many of them don’t maul for fun? |
| Agreed. |
| I don’t disagree but I also can’t really see how a “pit bull ban” would work |
Yeah, unfortunately way too many people think "their" pit bull is fine, until they're not. |
| I feel very sad for the parents but also believe they need to be charged with something. They killed their babies. There needs to be consequences. |
| A ban is a stupid idea. People can choose whatever dog they want to and live with the consequences. |
\ They're are plenty of animals that are illegal to own as a pet. Pit bull should be on that list. |
Define “pit bull” |
| This is so sad. |

“But my ‘pittie’ is the SWEETEST EVER and would never hurt a fly!”
Eff you, pit bull owners. They should be spayed and neutered out of existence. |
Did those two kids get to choose whether to live with a dog that would kill then? |
| The dogs were aggressive and these people knew it. They referred to them as “house lions” and their “home security system.” I feel no sympathy whatsoever for either of the parents, only disgust. Those poor sweet babies. How they suffered. |
These parents will live with the consequences forever as it is. There is nothing worse. |
Not enough for me. This was no freak accident. This was criminal negligence that resulted in the death of two children. I don’t think prison time should be out of the question in these situations. |
The parents are victims of misinformation. The pit bull PR campaign is mind-bogglingly effective. I have no idea why, but it is. |
