Unlikely. But not impossible. They can't go virtual without state permission. They can't go past mid june under the current contracts.

Shit. You are not lying. I went to my gyno doc and she said they are having to send labor and delivery cases somewhere else as hospitals are full of covid cases. I did not believe her and went by Frederick Memorial on the way home. I was astonished. The lots were full and cars were wrapped around the building and down streets like snakes. I guess it is for testing. WTH! i believe we can do better. It is feeling like 2020 up in here. A lot of people who are fully vaccinated are getting covid and getting pretty sick to where they feel that they cannot breathe on their own and go to the ER or urgent care.

Yes... I think a lot of very rude people on the Omicron thread will have the same reaction when they get the news. Right now they're busy insulting people.

Well according to the article COVID patients are only 15% of those hospitalized so…your OB is full of shit. Also according to the article we are not at 1200 hospitalized across the state right now while we had 1950 hospitalized at thai time last year. We are in a surge but it’s not as bad as previous surges.

I know FMH was in a rough spot last week, boarding COVID patients in the ER waiting for an inpatient bed to open up. They seem to be doing better this week.

This may have been a staffing issue vs. bed issue.

The staffing issues ARE the issue! Again and again. No point in a bed without staff.

I know nobody wants virtual but the health and safety of the community need to be a priority. I can't help but think that we're headed for this again. I think this would have ended long ago if people had been willing to step up and make some sacrifices even if they were inconvenient but because they aren't, this is going to drag on and on.
