Wrong. He is on the board of the Audobon Society. The area was a protected habitat for birds, hence the leash laws to prevent exactly what she was doing, letting her dog roam, scare off the birds and destroy the ground cover where many birds create nests and migratory birds take temporary shelter. He was asking her to obey the law because that's one of the things that the Audobon Society specifically does. Calling the police does not help when it may take the police 20-30 minutes to respond. By then, her dog will have destroyed the habitat and safety for the birds and scared many birds from the area. He politely asked her to leash her dog. She brushed off her entitlement as a dog owner and basically said that she didn't care what the law was, she was above the law. Then she pulled out her white privilege and racism and decided to exact vengeance on him for daring to question her entitlement and called the police and LIED TO THEM, which is another crime. She's now committed two crimes in a few minutes. And she revealed her horrible bigotry in the process of committing crimes. I am amazed at the dog owner entitlement here. It all started when she broke the law. How anyone can possibly claim that he started it when that was the root cause of the entire mess, is astounding. |
He's undoubtedly run into scofflaws like her before and knows this technique works. Your theory is childish but befitting you, I guess. He's on the board of the NYC Audubon Society. Central Park is a key migratory stopover site. We're right in the middle of migration season. Tons of birds are stopping by after flying all the way from Central and South America. The birds spend a day or more in Central Park foraging like crazy to rebuild their fat stores so they can make the next leg of their trips, often 1,000 miles or more up to Canada. Dogs rustling in the bushes interrupt birds like crazy, for hours if it goes unchecked. Unleashed dogs need to be stopped. If the birds take off without rebuilding their energy supplies, they can die en route or not have enough energy to withstand bad weather when they reach their nesting sites. |
| I think the msn played her is very creepy and just as terrible as the woman and in fact more so by using social media to dox her. One day I hope there will be laws against that. |
Everyone knows bird people are a bit crazy. And she had know way of knowing that he was a legit birder and not some creep pretending. |
And dog people are sane? Particularly this one, who thought the law shouldn't apply to her? Come on now. There's no excusing her horrible behavior. If she thought he was some creep, why did he have to be the one to repeatedly tell HER to keep her distance? She didn't care who he was. Her reaction was, "how dare you. I am someone and you are no one." |
|
^^ you only saw HIS side of the story. Who knows what happened before he started filming. I doubt he was nice about it.
But yes dog people are crazy too. Two crazies meet. |
You hope there is a law against the Audubon society protecting bird sanctuaries? |
| So glad her life has been upended. It is not as bad as what minorities endure when they are murdered with impunity, so yes her worst is not as bad as the people who are murdered, but I am glad that sometimes there is justice in the universe. |
There are no sides of a story to a video. You saw what happened. |
Nope. I recognize tRUMP's playbook in which you play down the heinous crimes of White supremacists and say that both sides behaved badly. This was one raging NAZI WHITE BITCH who is evil. The other person was an innocent, law abiding citizen. Glad that such courageous men and women still exist. Thank you Mr. Cooper. |
+1 and Amy Cooper has not contradicted anything he said; in fact, she has apologized for her behavior. |
|
What kind of parents give birth to such a toxic and evil child as Amy Cooper? What kind of perversion was indoctrinated to her as a child? I am sure she was innocent when she was born. What went so wrong that she became a Nazi and a complete Psycho?
I think it will be interesting to study her family of origin because there is some dark beginning to this doctrine of racism in that family. Maybe she is like Trump and has a parent or grandparent who were in KKK? |
| Woman loses her dog, her job, but gets the guy. I first suggested a rom com movie but have decided to change it into a musical. Maybe Idina Menzel could star. Cooper + Cooper is my current working title. I know we have suggested that bird watcher Cooper might be gay but in the musical he can be bi and found "the one." He feels bad about her getting media scrutiny and losing her job and her dog and goes to her apartment and they fall in love, get married and watch birdies together. Some of my songs include "Put a Leash on Me", "Birds Can't See Color," "Arrested by Love", and "I'm not Karen." |
Wrong. The employer did the only honorable and pragmatic thing they could do and dumped her racist ass. As a non-White person I am not going to be putting my money or wanting to have any association with that company if they did not take care of racism. |
Again. If he wasn't "nice about it", and she felt threatened or scared, why was she the one raising her voice and trying to get in his face, and he was backing up asking her to keep her distance? Is that the action of someone who is afraid for her safety? I actually thought she was going to slap him at some point - instead she took her rage out on her poor dog. |
