PVI handles Collegiate decisively.

Not true!
DM has two wins also!

1. Paul VI - Winning and winning with good margins
2. Bullis - Bullis no longer has top 10 wins but really playing well
3. Georgetown Prep - CA and a really good FL team after what should be an easy GZ win
4. St. John’s - One more like these and they drop to 5
5. Landon - A moral victory
6. Good Counsel - The WCAC bottom is a why bother
7. Potomac - Looking pretty good right now
8. St. Albans - showing well out of state
9. Episcopal - they’ll battle for 4th in the IAC
10. Public - Independence, Robinson and Madison and?

“One more like these” 😂

You mean one more win against a top 25 ranked team?

Yeah not sure where that came from and I’m no WCAC follower. LaSalle’s very good.

Fair point. 6 goals a game for SJC isn’t great though. SJC is also working through a number of injuries and have 2 tough ones coming up.

Here is how I see it:

1. Bullis - the Bulldogs look like a complete team on all ends of the field.
2. Paul VI - strong senior class will carry these Panthers deep into the WCAC playoffs.
3. Landon - if the Bears can contend at the face-off dot, they will make a run at another IAC title.
4. Georgetown Prep - the Hoyas need to play with more consistency. Big test down in Florida with Saint Andrews coming up.
5. Good Counsel - the Falcons' high-powered offense can score goals; they need to tighten up on the defensive side of the field if they are going to make a deep run in the WCAC.
6. SJC - The Cadets' offense needs to improve if they expect to make a deep run in the WCAC playoffs. Their defense was locked down against LaSalle on Friday.
7. Gonzaga - While the Eagles are 0-5, they have played a brutal non-league schedule. The Eagles aren't particularly deep on the offensive side of the field this year as scoring has been very limited.
8. St. Albans - the Bulldogs are well-coached and have a very good goalie.
9. EHS - haven't been tested yet, other than being smoked by PVI.
10. Public: (Urbana? Madison, Robison?)

SJC is relying on their midfield to run the offense. The attack doesn’t seem to do much aside from pick and switch so the mids can invert. A lot of missed passes and awful shooting. Doesn’t appear they have a big outside shooting threat or at least, they haven’t shown up consistently so far. SJC looks very talented on D and in the cage but the offense needs some adjustment. They have talent so that’s not the issue IMO. It’s early in the season so it’s fixable.

Being 0-5 is a tough mental hurdle to overcome for a team. How to overcome such a terrible start?

Which would basically convert this into a top 5. Having a winning record vs a cream puff schedule is meaningless to all but the everyone gets a trophy crowd.

Is lax the only sports where teams talk about “dealing with injuries” when the season has just started ?
I thought these hard ass white boys were all training so hard in the off season. Getting the work in you know. Posting workout videos 24/7.
Now we all hurt boo hoo.
