2026 Girls Lax WCAC + ISL Outlook

Wow, NCS must have really easy admissions. The other schools is the ISL only ever have like 2, maybe 3 admissions spots max for lacrosse. 7 is a lot. Is NCS not a popular destination anymore?

NCS’ 29 lax class is stacked with capital blue. I think 5 cap blue and 1-2 cap orange. Their lacrosse futures look bright for high academics DI-III.

NCS Mom/Dad,

First, congratulations on the incredible education you are providing your daughter(s). I am sure they have a lot of potential! However, I think it’s important to have an honest, outside-the-NCS bubble conversation about the current landscape of high-academic D1 lacrosse recruiting.

Frankly, playing on a team like Capital Blue does not guarantee a spot at a top academic D1 school. Many parents fall into the trap of believing that, and I don't want you to be caught unprepared.

Capital does not promise recruitment, and your NCS Coach/Capital Recruiter will likely tell you the same. It has actually been several years since a lacrosse player from NCS went to a high-academic D1( Ivy, Duke, Stanford). I say this because you should have realistic expectations for the future so you can make the best decisions for your daughter now.

It might be time to try to connect with some Capital families who have gone through the process for high academic D1 outside of NCS. (Stone Ridge,Potomac, Holton, Visitation, SSSAS)

They will tell you the truth.

Stacked? How many?

I added 5 + 1 (6) and 5 + 2 (7). So there are approximately 6-7 cap players in the NCS freshman class. There are one to two other competitive clubs as well.

NCS will overtake Holton in 2 years. They don’t have any strength below the junior class save for one or two girls.

Be careful. It only takes one or two players to make a difference.

Bigger, faster, stronger.....

I think we are good on the ISL A conversatiom for a while.

Some serious games today.
How is the playday going? Score from the GC vs SR game?

GC SR 11-11 after 3Q

GC 17 SR 11 Final

GC was leading and in control most of the game until SR came back and tied it. SR made a goalie change early.

GC draw team was stronger in 4Q to give them the possessions to pull away.

Too bad we won’t see GC vs SSSAS. One vote here for an ISL vs WCAC Super Bowl.

GC should easily run the table with the rest of their schedule.

And SR was dominate in the draw the middle of the game allowing them to come back from a 5 hole deficit.

Of note....8/11 SR goals were 8m,

it should be a yearly scrimmage!

GC’s defense just hacks. Cross checks and swinging sticks. It’s their Coach’s directed style of play. It’s ugly but often effective.

17-3 SSSAS win over PVI
9-8 Win against Loyola Academy- Saints should have been ahead by a lot but shots were bad and Loyola Goalie was having a day.
