This post did not age well. SR is a good team with talented players, but they just got dominated by a SSSAS team in every phase, including coaching. SSSAS went out to a 3-0 lead, and it was never close, it was 8-4 at half and 12-6 after 3Q, and an 8 goal game with 7 min left. It could’ve been a 10 goal game easily if SSSAS didn’t take their foot off the gas. None of this is a negative on SR, it just was a different class of play today. It happens when you have experienced players who are very good individually and play well as a team. Congrats to both teams on good ISL seasons, lots of quality players on both sides who will be playing in college.

Not surprisingly silent from the multitude of Saint Stephen’s and KJ haters. We’ve all been fortunate to watch her greatness for decades, and yet the vast majority on this blog are so pathetic in their own lives, and petty, that they hate on her greatness instead of enjoying it. All hail KJ, slayer of DCUM losers!

To be fair to the haters, the NCS parents have accomplished something unprecedented: they redirected the full snark power of DCUM toward a team from the A (slash B) league.

Never before has the fellowship of the miserable, myself included, trained its collective ire at such subterranean altitude. No “KJ is terrible,” no “SR is overrated,” no “Visi attitude,” no “SJC Baby Bjorn-gate.”

Just everyone, briefly united, staring down into the developmental bracket and saying, “Wait, what is going on down there?”

And then all of the random NCS freshmen started to send absolute randomness into the forum. (And started trashing their own team too)

That parent specifically has made around half of the DMV population start trashing NCS, hope he’s proud.

Perfect post

Says the author of the original post. Pretty obvious attempt to feign unity among teams that hate each other rather than face the reality of their seething jealousy that KJ won again.

Saving this one. Hilariously ignorant take. NCS roster is loaded with returning young talent and will be doing the thumping next year.

Save this post right here. Love the chest pounding. They have some talent but no where near the depth of the top teams. Yes they have some decent talent but anyone who knows anything knows the sophs they have got handed a golden ticket to be on Cap Blue. One of those girls is actually good. The 29s they have same thing. Package deal for two of them. Which frosh dad is it as there are def 2 that could be posting here

“nowhere near the depth of the top teams.” That may be true for the current top teams in AA, but we’re talking about next season. Most of the top teams, starting with saint stephens are graduating their top talent. And if KJ rides off into the sunset after states then who knows what happens to Saint Stephen’s. Stoneridge has a lot of returning talent, and Visi returns some as well. Beyond that it’s wide open and NCS has more returning talent than the rest.

Visi is going to be in real trouble next year. They are losing their best goalie, best defender and best two middies. They will struggle in the AA unless they have a miracle freshman class.

Are you for real? What do you expect?

BTW no one hates KJ. We just can’t stand the KJ worshipers.

You are a freshman's parent. You have zero idea who the upperclassmen are in the ISL

Genuinely curious what NCS has done to you guys. Like yall aren’t even in the same bracket and it still gets more air time than the better AA teams. Of course they’re not going to be the best team in the country, but that’s exactly why you guys shouldn’t care.

SR got out coached. Girls were gritty and fought back but the youth of the team (with only 2 seniors) was not enough to come back. Great run by SR and congrats to Saints. Great match up by two great teams.

Sts goalie was played really well. Wouldn’t be surprised if SR had more shots. Unfortunately they kept shooting directly at the goalie.

Negative

Lots of stars graduating GC next year. SJC will have stronger and more experienced talent next year.

SJC graduates their best player.

Not only that but GC will just reload. Are people not aware of the pipeline that runs through GC?
