Forcing compliance with the law is "for show"? I suppose you're correct, drivers follow the rules of the road for show, people follow laws for show. And drivers are safe and the country functions. |
Bullshit. |
Again, Musk can simply change what he plans to do. Easy easy. |
It will win. Twitter will have to give WARN notice. Musk won’t get to lay them off immediately. That’s not show. That’s law. |
Not bulls&it. Not hard to verify |
But he can restrict their access to code when he finds wrongdoing. He can restrict employee access to code as he brings in others to clean it up. He can fire people individually if he finds that they behaved in a very biased manner. |
60 days severance gets you around the WARN act. That's how employers that don't want to comply do it. |
Tesla has been a regular violator. They get sued and pay out. It's the price of doing business when your CEO ignores you GC |
Most class action lawsuits are filed on contingency, and not at all for show. |
OK. He can pay them and their full benefits for 60 days and be required to document that there was no discrimination in the layoffs. That’s not what he intended with his impulsive action |
That’s not what he is doing. He doesn’t understand code. |
Elon is a shitty employer and tries to stiff employees. He is similar to Trump in that aspect. This is not new to him. Tesla is under lawsuit because it tried to layoff employees by individually firing employees to avoid WARN law.
