I’m eating a balanced diet full of healthy fats, proteins, and complex carbs. I meet macros and stay within a caloric goal that includes a deficit. But I struggle with snacking. I find that if I drink a diet soda between meals, it somehow helps and I don’t crave snacks.
Is this a bad idea? |
Why not water? Hot tea? Diet soda is not that good for you, esp not on a consistent basis. |
Seltzer water? |
Yes, diet drinks make you crave sugar. Drink flavored or fizzy type water drink. |
Try seltzer water. Or eat an apple. I also like frozen grapes.
There's a lot of evidence that diet sodas aren't as good for you as you think |
This is j hi oh I started Diet Coke. But it’s incredibly unhealthy - just chemicals.
Stick with water. |
If it works for you, why not? |
This. It works for me. I don’t overdo it. Like people crap in Diet Coke but then will drink alcohol. I choose the firmer personally. |
You would be better off just drinking a regular coke. Diet drinks contain chemicals that increase sugar cravings. There are also studies showing that artificial sweeteners of all kinds are really bad for your health. |
You are far better off drinking a real coke/pepsi. |
This is just not true as a blanket rule. My body can’t handle 40g of sugar at once and over time it would damage my health far more than diet soda. |
1 Diet Coke okay 5 diet cokes not okay |
All soda is bad for you. |
Carbonated water (in soda or otherwise) may increase appetite, according to research. I’d try homemade plenity instead: cellulose fiber and a big glass of water. |
Agree. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We all have our vices. If the rest of the day is healthy and you feel like it is what you need, then go for it. You don't have to be 100% all the time, most of us aren't. |
