This left-leaning moderate would definitely be in favor of Republicans running DC, provided (and this is important) they were sane ones. No Trumpers, not fundies, etc. I realize moderate Republicans are an endangered species in the 21st Century, but they are still out there.

| Uh, no thanks. DC has issues, but there's no evidence that R leadership makes states safer. Many rural crime rates are higher per capita than in cities. I like having legal abortion, and public services like libraries that aren't pressured to ban books. It's not like the R party is into effective government these days, and we don't need a "troll the libs" administration. There aren't many "reasonable Rs" left, because the party drives them out. |
