I believe Lyndon Johnson also found out about it. Israel would have killed all the soldiers if not for a soviet spy ship in the area. Otherwise, no one would have ever known that all the dead Americans died as a result of an Israeli false flag operation that could likely have triggered a huge war or even World War 3.
