Palestinians Starving - What Can We Do?

Einstein deeply criticized the Irgun, but he was still a Zionist in the end. After 1948 he put most of the blame on the Arabs.

In 1949 Einstein wrote in a letter to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem that this period is "the fulfillment of our dreams", but that he regrets that "we were compelled by the adversities of our situation to assert our rights through force of arms; it was the only way to avert complete annihilation". Einstein served on the Board of Governors of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

He was also preparing a televised speech for the seventh anniversary of the state of Israel before he passed away. In the draft Einstein speaks about the dangers facing Israel and says “It is anomalous that world opinion should only criticize Israel’s response to hostility and should not actively seek to bring an end to the Arab hostility which is the root cause of the tension.”

A reasoned and intelligent analysis, which remains applicable today.

At the beginning of this month, Israel and its apologists ferociously denied claims that IDF troops had fired upon civilians seeking aid at a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) site, killing 31 people.

On the second of June, Israeli forces again opened fire on civilians seeking aid in Gaza, killing three people and injuring more than 30.

On June 3, Israeli forces again opened fire on civilians seeking aid, reportedly killing at least 27 people.

The US/Israeli-backed GHF temporarily suspended operations after this spate of mass shootings.

On June 8, Israeli forces again fired upon civilians seeking aid at two separate distribution points in Gaza, killing twelve.

On June 9, Israel and Israeli-backed forces opened fire on a crowd at an aid site in Gaza, killing 14.

And on June 10, at least 36 people were reported killed and 208 wounded when Israeli forces again fired on crowds seeking aid in Gaza.

Since May 27, some 160 people have reportedly been killed in massacres at these GHF sites, which people in Gaza are reportedly beginning to refer to as a “death trap”.

Not quite accurate. While it is true that Albert wanted a safe homeland for the Jews he never meant that such a holy land should exclude others. This is directly antithetical to the doctrines of the founders of Zionism. He wished for the abolition of all national borders.

“Should we be unable to find a way to honest cooperation and honest pacts with the Arabs, then we have learned absolutely nothing during our two thousand years of suffering and deserve all that will come to us.”

"I should much rather see reasonable agreement with the Arabs on the basis of living together in peace than the creation of a Jewish state. My awareness of the essential nature of Judaism resists the idea of a Jewish state with borders, an army, and a measure of temporal power, no matter how modest. I am afraid of the inner damage Judaism will sustain — especially from the development of a narrow nationalism within our own ranks, against which we have already had to fight strongly, even without a Jewish state. … If external necessity should after all compel us to assume this burden, let us bear it with tact and patience."

Also interestingly, the speech from which you quoted, is likely not his words. Jewish writer Jeff Nussbaum, author of Undelivered: The Never-Heard Speeches That Would Have Rewritten History, attributes the work of Abba Eban, who served as Deputy Prime Minister, Knesset member, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations.

And Hamas contiinues to hold hostages, dead and alive, despite it all.

The answer to "what can we do", is to urge the Palestinians to rise up against Hamas, renounce terror forever, and release the hostages. That would actually be effective in ending the conflict, as opposed to hand-wringing and name-calling. Of course, that would require a sea change from an entrenched culture of endless grievances, supported by endless excuses and justifications for terror as a way of life.

Netanyahu doesn't want the hostages quite yet. He needs to finish his genocide and ethnic cleansing so that Israel can fully annex Gaza without any remaining Palestinians.

‘Now we conquer, cleanse, and stay’ - in the words of the Israeli Finance Minister about Gaza that have been echoed by others.

All the kids need to be erased as well, because they can get in the way of resettlement"
Moshe Feiglin, former Knesset, said that "Every child, every baby in Gaza is an enemy."

"What is being done in Gaza, it’s a pity that worse isn’t done. There are no innocents. Yes, children should be killed." said another Knesset member

Ah the good old Israel backed ISIS gangs that were ordered to masquerade as Hamas. Was wondering when we'd hear about them again. Good thing we have Netanyahu on record telling us his plans on using these gangs to steal aid and kill civilians.

"What's wrong with that?" said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

It is a fact that Israel is arming gangs and directing them to cause mass confusion and panic. It is also a fact that Israel has admitted that murdering children and civilians is a goal, and that recovering the hostages is not a priority.

Please read this first person account from an American providing security for the GHF in Gaza.

Contractors have not been given training on interacting with the civilian population, no training on the weapons they have been given or screening on if they know how to operate their weapons.

They are sleep deprived, sometimes working 20 hour shifts. Not given adequate provisions, sometimes just eating the leftover aid strewn across the ground. He describes aid distribution as pure chaos.

I would not be surprised if the aid was delivered at night deliberately, given it would then draw people out, at which point they could be fired on as combatants, even though they weren't. It’s very clear that the Israeli military will take any opportunity available to fire.

What we – these American companies and contract personnel – are doing is directly leading to more pain, suffering, and death for the Palestinians in Gaza.
