2024 Boys Private School Results /Game Schedules/ Commentary

There’s a lot of criticism from those wounded by NL side of things, but if any truth to being asst elsewhere, that stellar coach (or coaches?) must not think he’s too bad. Objectively he turned the Heights from noncompetitive to mostly competitive, and sent a bunch of kids to play college. It often takes more than a couple years to improve a program unless your budget allows. Maybe I’m unaware of someone who has so please inform if so.

SJC just announced their new president - Kevin Haley. The OC that left SJC after the 2022 season for a job in NC was also a Haley and yes, a relative. Maybe the original poster is on to something…

So they hired an executive from Under Armour as the President of their school? I guess Plank can do whatever he wants at that place.

What? They hired a Princeton and UVA Law grad with significant leadership experience and a firm belief in the value of a catholic education.

Your hate is clearly clouding your judgment. This is a great hire for SJC.

St. John’s is heading to another level.

Keep up

Being the head of a private school is about raising money while keeping or elevating standards. SJ has solved that problem by having a billionaire alum willing to fully support the school not only to put up buildings and fields, but to fully support the school in any future endeavor. The other privates wish they had it so good.

It doesn't solve the problem of Speaks actively seeking a collegiate position to challenge himself, which he is doing right now.

All right coach. Stand on your own and stop making up nonsense to try to compete. TRY

why would Speaks want to leave SJC if the next school president, Haley, is pro-lacrosse?

I'm not following whoever is speculating Speaks wants out of Military road.

If Speaks wants to give the D1 college ranks a shot, that is totally normal.

Alot of people seem to forget, Plank went to GP before he was at SJC. Does he give GP any $? I would imagine he does give them some. But to act like him donating more to SJC and UM, the two places he had good experiences and feels loyal to is a bad thing is silly. If you knew Kevin at SJC, you would know he is a loyal guy and a heck of a teammate.

Kevin Plank doesn’t give Prep any money because he got kicked out of there…hence his graduation from SJC.

Yes, I know he graduated from SJC. A year after I did. Was just wondering if he contributed to Prep. No need to be a douche canoe

I’m sure there are some
prominent alums / past parents (very few) in the Prep community who have as much money as Plank.

They might just not be obsessed with sports the way Plank is

Speaks is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Cadets will come back down to reality this Spring.

Guess it won’t be a good look for the others when coming back down to reality means winning another WCAC championship.

Keep telling yourself that to make you feel better.

SJC will likely struggle in all of their non-league games this spring, except with Gilman.

Duenkel is likely out till the final weeks of the season, big question mark if he is going to come back when he has big college career ahead of him.

Gonzaga has the depth this year and will be the favorite to win the WCAC.

Gonzaga will not be the championship - too many gaps to fill in key positions.
