Apparently it’s usually temporary. Hopefully he’ll be ok.

Not what' he's called it, but I have known a few people to have "Bells palsy" with a similar short term effect.

Didn’t his wife just have an aneurysm? What’s going on in that household…

You can get Bell's Palsy from Lyme Disease. Most likely explanation.

You get that from ticks. Justin doesn’t strike me as the type to roll around in the Connecticut woods

It's not Bell's Palsy and CNN says likely from having Shingles near a nerve in his face.

That’s Bell’s Palsy. I had it and my symptoms were exactly the same. It is compression of the 7th cranial nerve that can be caused by shingles and other issues. Hopefully he’s taking antivirals and prednisone.

I just watched a video of him explaining his condition. He says he has Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.

There is no way his young healthy wife has a stroke or whatever, strange neurological symptoms and then he has random facial paralysis a few months later and they’re completely unrelated. I think they’re doing a weird drug

Did you read the articles about him? Ramsay Hunt is caused by Shingles. He’s been on tour for over a year and I believe he also had COVID a few months ago. Shingles was ripe to happen with the tour stress and immunity wipe out from COVID.

I'm sorry, you think the most common cause of Bell's palsy is Lyme disease?

Poor kid.

Wonder if the shingles is related to the COVID vaccine? I developed shingles a few weeks after getting the vaccine, and I know a few people who had the same thing happen to them.

I don't know about the vaccine, but COVID illness itself predisposes to shingles.

Adults age 50 and older infected with COVID-19 are 15 percent more likely to develop shingles within six months of the diagnosis compared to people who weren’t infected, according to a large observational study published in the journal Open Forum Infectious Diseases. The risk rises to 21 percent if you’ve been hospitalized with COVID-19, according to the study.
