In laws don’t wash hands

Anonymous
So my in laws never wash their hands. And I mean like never. My mother in law loves to cook but I told my husband I don’t want to eat their food anymore. We agreed on me just eating hot foods only. Do you agree with this? Their uncleanliness really grosses me out. Should I say anything? I’m over for Memorial Day and just can’t bare to eat here anymore

How do you known they don’t wash their hands after using the bathroom? Are you standing next to the bathroom with your ear pressed to the door?

What do you mean by never?

Just cook your own food if you don’t like it, you sound picky to me.

My in-laws only wash hands after going to the bathroom and never otherwise. It's gross.

We should all be washing hands as soon as we come into the house and before eating or preparing food, as well as after ever bathroom visit or touching anything dirty. Basic human hygiene.

Does your mil wash dishes? Take a shower? Rinse things off in the sink? I doubt her hands are really as dirty as you think.

There’s not really anything you can do or say without looking rude and insane.

I think you're probably overthinking. You probably should only ever eat food you prepare yourself (not restaurants or stands), if this bothers you that much.

How do they wash their hair without simultaneously not washing their hands? Why do you need to exaggerate to make whatever point you're trying to make? Just pick at the food and stop making announcements about what you will or won't do. Why does your spouse need to agree on what foods you eat? You sound ridiculous and immature.

I assume there’s food and a kitchen, what stops you from cooking it yourself?
