Holy Trinity Father-Daughter Dance - Covid

Holy Trinity held a father-daughter dance on Friday, and it was all inside due to the weather. Already got word of the first Covid case. Seems like this will be standard for most spring dances during these times.

I can’t believe they went forward with it after what happened at Little Flower. Outdoor events and kids only events make sense but not this.

Not saying it was or wasn't a good idea, but there's no way someone caught Covid on Friday night and managed to show symptoms, get tested, and show up positive by this morning.

Agree. And who cares anyway. COVID is gonna COVID. Time to move on with our lives. If you are still nervous about it, don’t attend the dance. It’s that simple.

The point is that someone with Covid was there jammed in an indoor space with most of the school in attendance. Unvaccinated kids that were there have to miss school and everyone else will need to monitor for symptoms, test, and potentially miss school. The fallout is unknown at this point but it could easily spread causing significant disruption - like Little Flower.

It was the parents choice to go. This was easy to predict.

Not sure. Communication about cases used to be quick and comprehensive but less so lately. Word has been spreading more through rumor.
