I've seen posts I thought were about someone I know because the situation was identical except the OP changed some details to remain anonymous. However, I acknowledge that it's possible that other people could have identical situations to people I know. That could definitely be true for you too OP unless the thread had locations or school names or whatever that indicates it's definitely you.

Well, I'm pretty sure you are someone I know and you are talking about a post that I wrote about you, so....yeah. This is the post I discovered that was written about me.

No but there was once a post I knew who it was by the small amount of details they described. I then brought up the topic and the person verbatim rehashed concerns in the same way. I brought it up to directly give advice and empathy.

Yes and I 100% knew who had written it and that it was about me.

The funny part is that the post was complaining about me and asking how to deal with me, and I responded with genuinely kind advice for how to handle the situation. Advice was not taken, of course 😂😂

I have written a post that I think may have been read by the person it was about because one of the responses used almost the exact sentence the person had said to me. This person tends to fly off the handle and then use crude language and the response fit that pattern.

Other people responding agreed with my take on the matter, so I actually wouldn’t mind if this person read the responses of objective anonymous third parties.
