Maybe people felt he should have stuck to calling out all ethnic and racial hatred and not qualifying it.

+1. black people have suffered racism forever. Why call out antisemitism? Read the room. There are tons of black people in that room.

Tons of Jews (and people of other backgrounds) as well. Antisemitism has been around forever as well.

Indeed but they are a tiny portion of the population.

It doesn’t matter your portion of a population.
USA constitution is not for the dictatorship of the majority.

I think that's what Rs say about the popular vote.

So because they are a true minority we shouldn’t call out bias against them?

Tell me you’re antisemetic without telling me you’re antisemetic

He's calling out hate for one small group when there are larger groups who have faced bigotry. He should have called out bigotry that encompasses all groups.

So… “all lives matter”? Oh, wait…

And it's all bad. I don't know why some posters feel that the persecution of their group should be paramount

The Democrats filling arenas in both Chicago and Milwaukee at the same time was a pretty good flex.

Since black people have become virtually untouchable, bigots have shifted their ire to Jews and Asians. And people like some of these PPs are OK with that. Such hypocrites. Gross.

So if Schumer were a black man he shouldn’t call out racism because there are Jews in the room?

They should call out racism period not just one kind.

He did.

Pritzker was way better than I expected. The billionaire line probably hurt Donald.

I don't think you know who you're talking to. I'm asian American. And let me tell you, I've had Jewish people make bigoted statements against my ethnicity. I've had white black Hispanics make ching Chong comments to my family members.

To the people NOT voting this year —- may you have the misfortune of living in a country where you are not afforded the opportunity to vote so that you understand it is not only a right, it’s a responsibility. In other words you actually suck.

You'll be living in that country too pp.
The reason many are staying home is because they have grown tired of the shaming and fear mongering techniques.
For 20 years now the democratic party has claimed the Republicans were going to strip all our rights and plunge us into a dictatorship.

**

OK - so you now admit that if Trump wins we will not be voting again - or it will not be necessary as he actually said in a stump speech. I’ll be elsewhere as a dual citizen …

Who are you talking to?
I plan on voting.
I don't plan on voting for Trump.
But you seem to think only non voters will be punished.
Or maybe you want them punished because they aren't doing what you want them to.
My point to you there's a reason people don't vote.
People like you have been saying the same thing for decades telling people to vote but ignoring their concerns
Why should they in their view vote for more of the same?

He spoke about other forms of hate in the following sentences. You just heard antisemitism and your radar went off so you stopped listening.

Isn’t that the point of the post you’re quoting? Are you saying it’s okay for you to be antisemetic because others have been anti-Asian to you?

Also I've usually been pro Israel and used to be a R.

The whole theme of the beginning of the convention was about racism. Guess what - Jews are facing persecution these days and it should be called out instead of hushed.

Jews mention antisemitism and they’re accused of making it “paramount.” Can’t make this stuff up. Why do we bother voting Dem?
