Why are you people traveling now?!

The Karen bit is remarkably tired. Has no juice. Embarrassed for you.

Nailed it.

They’re self-important hall monitor wannabes who are being ignored by the other kids. And they can’t stand it.

And yet, you still can’t force me to do what you want me to do.

Be embarrassed for me, call me selfish, get angry.

I’ve never cared what people like you think. Why would I start now?

Feel free to give yourself an anger stroke, for all I care.

Um I booked travel for August in May when the numbers were at the all time low. I hadn't seen my family in 2 years I wasn't going to not travel.

One dateless dude with hemorrhoids and a room full of pizza boxes, calling people Karen and pretending to leave the house. Lol. It’s cute.

As for why now, we planned this back in May, to coincide with a long weekend, and giving everyone adequate time to plan. My dad passed away in March, mom is visiting us now (she lives outside the country), and the idea is for us to get together to celebrate his life, and for the family to visit with mom as well. Earlier/later timelines wouldn’t have worked.

Everyone is vaccinated, except my 11 year old.

All family events will be outside, correct? If not, make sure everyone is masked inside. -someone who had breakthrough Covid recently and it was no walk in the park

Cousin just came back. Got Covid unknowingly. His MIL picked him up at the airport and drove him home on a 45 minute drive. She got it now. Then the rest of his fam got it. It sucks.

This. You cannot control what other people do. Period. Come on here and complain all you want. You seem massively angry. That's not healthy.

Back to the question at hand… we have a trip to Disneyland planned in November. We booked it in the before Delta times and are thinking through whether we go with our two unvaccinated kids. Their school requires a quarantine and test following out of state travel, which we will do, so our travel won’t impact their classmates. We are planning on taking a car service to the resort and staying in one of the hotels, but given delta might rent a car and Airbnb. Then our only crowd exposure is at the park and airport. I don’t see risk in being masked and outside, id bet the people catching covid at Disney are eating in restaurants or doing indoor/right quarter rides. I don’t know. My kids are so over it and I want something normal for them.

DP. Your rationalizing your bad behavior sounds so pathetic.

Everyone is staying with us, so not really possible to see people only outside, and masking is impractical as we’re all sharing the same HVAC. Thankfully, the weather is supposed to be delightful, so we can at least spend a lot of time outdoors and have doors and windows open.
