That surprises me. Do you mean because all of their strongest are on the MLS Next team? My son has played against both clubs 09 teams several times over the last couple years and SYC 09s are a very strong group. And they got a huge turnout at tryouts. I would have have thought they could fill both rosters.

Any updates from inside or outside the club? Share team year pls? I’m 2009 girls and nothing. Still have literally not heard a peep from the club on why they are delayed. Was supposed to hear 48 hours from Thursday evening.

Why is everyone on this thread freaking out? Over in Maryland they are in the middle of tryouts and no communication from DC's club either.

You can still try out. Just email the directors, but I don't know why the club wouldn't honor what it said and give all players a spot. Just be patient. Just means they are probably still waiting for responses and unsure of the rosters.

They may be done with formal tryouts, but I would bet you can call another club and come to one of their practices for a tryout. Maybe some of the underperforming teams are still looking. if your dd and her friends go to a club, they could make the top team and get good competition. You may not win every game, but your dd may learn to work harder and appreciate the win more.

PP you are not being unreasonably impatient. The club said 48 hours. It’s now going on 120 hours. It’s in poor taste. Especially after that over the top email that they care so much about their returning players.
