I wonder if they're desperately trying to draw BRYC into the union too...

They already drew in at least three players to the 2011G top team from BRYc for next season, and at least one of those is a 2012. But looks like those kids will play for the infamous Jaon so scratching head about that decision.

Pretty amazing to me that for that age group, parents (presumably in the Fairfax area) are willing to drive to McLean for soccer.

I guess I don't love my kids enough!

You don't. Parents in Fairfax drive to Arlington which is as bad as driving to McLean.

Driving to Arlington is significantly worse with its horrible traffic congestion. Girls from Northern Arlington have much easier commute to McLean fields than to the fields in southern Arlington, where many Arlington teams practice.

Depends on where you're at in FFX. In parts of FFX, you can get to McLean in 15-20 minutes, which is not bad - particularly with HOV. ARL is always 45+ min. And with traffic, fuhgeddaboudit

I guess they were waiting for Bethesda’s offers to go out.

They sent an email last night. Thank you for your patience. We need a few more days to finalize. So much movement between clubs this year. My kids have their placements and as far as we can tell about 90% of their team does. We are 08 and 09.

This is the strangest first person description.

How about some quotation marks? Or are you astroturfing.

Here's what the email actually said "Thank you for your patience during the MYS team formation/tryout process for the 2021-2022 season. Coaches are working as quickly as they can to evaluate the player pool and finalize rosters for each age group. We had expected to finish the process by today, May 21, but due to a number of factors we need a few more days. If your player has an offer from another club and needs a decision from MYS within a specific time frame or if you do not receive communication from an MYS coach by the end of the day on Monday, May 24, please reach out to your current coach or the appropriate Age Group Director. If you have received an offer, please register as quickly as you can or email the coach back to let them know you will not be accepting so that we can continue with the selection process. "

Pretty much what the previous post said. This board is so stupidly critical.
