As another who used to defend her (not manaically, but thought using her 'platform' as former model to denigrate Trump/willing to make fun of herself/John Legend seems like a decent dude etc) I'm pretty horrified by this. Like others on here I've had my bad and angry and mean moments. I would NEVER have said that to anyone, much less publicly, and I was far from perfect.

I'm over her. SO interesting she's losing sponsorships over this.

I’m definitely part of her target audience - mom to a young child, hate Trump, live in the city, follow pop culture and am into style, etc.

I read other message boards and I’ve been really shocked at how few people in this general demographic seem to give a shit. Like, giving eye rolls as a reaction, everyone makes mistakes, she (Chrissy) was young. And I can only conclude that Chrissy earned permanent cool points with people for hating Trump which...is not a personality trait! It’s not distinct! Hundreds of millions of us disdain Trump. So the other thing is that a LOT of women (because the boards are primarily female) is that Stodden represents a “who cares” victim, with the porn aesthetic and the aggressive sexuality. They DGAF that she was provably underaged and abused. THEY, along with Teigen, think abused tweens and teens who aren’t perfect bookworms or “naturally” beautiful are sluts, and sluts deserve pain, humiliation, and death threats. It’s women serving as enforcers. It’s revolting but you know I’m not lying.

I don’t give a sh*t. I don’t hate Chrissy and I still follow her on IG. I might buy her cookbook one day. I also think she’s a mean girl who can dish it out but can’t take it. The only thought I have about Courtney Stodden is that she wants attention as much as Chrissy does.

Telling people the truth about how Chrissy attacked her isn’t seeking attention, it’s not only her right, it could help her.

No evidence anyone else with a following went into her DMs to attack her like Chrissy. And it would bother most humans to have a public person who is as beyond extra as Chrissy about her own insecurities and suffering, flounce and beg for sympathy for her own suffering on a public stage after never acknowledging her use of that same platform to be cruel to a minor. As should everyone else who may have attacked Courtney. However, it’s pretty clear Courtney wants her name out there and the best way to do that is trying to cancel someone famous for something they did 10 yrs ago.
