The Georgia law and laws crafted for other states set up a scenario where a gerrymandered state legislature can just assign electoral votes to whomever it wishes, irrespective of the vote in their state.
Is that what we really want? |
Maybe we should create “racist island” where all these would be ignorant plantation owners can go. Then the rest of us who are normal can inhabit the rest of the country and let the racist island people ruin each other.
I am hopeful these old white men will die off but also worried they are being replaced with more stupid and ignorant people who are beholden to whatever Fox News tells them. |
Is there something that prevents polling places that saw extreme lines from obtaining more machines and poll workers in the next election cycle? |
In that case food and water wouldn’t sway them. |
Yes. It’s called the same board of elections that caused the problem in the first place. |
Yes. The GOP election officials who inflict this on them. This bill claims to rectify it, but with no real teeth to ensure it would happen for the primaries in 2022. |
Stacey Abrams must be allowed to cater the voter lines. no excuses! |
Is your google broken? Or your ability to click on links that were on the previous page?

We can boycott Home Depot and Coca Cola.
Screw major corporations who allowed this to happen in Georgia. |
Yeah, that will show ‘em! |
What to happen? You all are getting your knickers in a bunch about nothing. A few on the left - in politics and in media - have caused this outrage and you have to wonder if any of them actually read the bill. The worst you have come up with is that people cannot pass out water in line and even that argument has had cold water thrown on it (pun intended). |
No. The worst thing about it is the ability of the legislature to overthrow the results if they dont like them. The banning pizza and water thing is just dickish, petty, and has no good reason |
I don't see why not. Plenty of other major organizations are and financial repercussions are the only way to get the message across in situations like this. It sounds like a lot of industries are doing just that. |
You'll need to link to that in the bill because I am not seeing it. |
That's what the whole getting rid of the independence of the certifiers does |
