Wondering if any reporter will ask Joe about this, or any of the other scandals surrounding Hunter at Joe's first press conference today.

Why on earth is Biden supposed to answer for this? Go ask Hunter FFS! When you're at a board meeting do you expect someone to ask for a report on why your kid got suspended form high school?

If I sent my security to deal with the aftermath of my child’s illegal activities and then didn’t disclose it? Also, Hunter is way past high school. He’s an adult.

What illegal activity? His daughter-in-law disposed of a gun incorrectly?

Please, keep defending this with your absurdities. It helps show who you are.

While no doubt a strange story, I fail to see what law was broken. Gun disposal, maybe. I have no idea what the laws in Delaware are on gun disposal.

Felony for lying on the ATF Form 4473 (drug use and reason for navy reserve discharge) and a class A misdemeanor for the improper disposal (equivalent to an unlicensed sale/transaction).

ATF Form 4473:

Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?
Warning: The use or possession of marijuana remains unlawful under Federal law regardless of whether it has been legalized or decriminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes in the state where you reside.

Do you have proof that Hunter Biden’s drug use overlapped during the purchase of this firearm?

He had been addicted to drugs in the past. I have not seen verifiable proof that he was a drug user at this specific point in time.

Evidence. It’s a thing.

Once an addict, always an addict. It's the first thing everyone learns in rehab.

That's why at the start of every AA meeting, everyone says, "My name is Larlo and I'm an addict." Even if you're sober/clean for 50 years (which Hunter obviously wasn't), you're still an addict. NA meetings are the same. Addicts are addicts. For life.

Knowledge about the world. It's a thing.

I wonder how many people who have been clean and sober for, say, 25 years answer yes to that question if they want to buy a gun.

Besides, "addict for life" is more of an ideology that for many people helps them maintain sobriety. "Addiction" is not a clinical term. A person can be diagnosed with a substance use disorder and the qualification "sustained remission" can be added. I don't think that makes saying "no" to "are you addicted" a lie, even if someone else might disagree.

Also, a hell of a lot of red staters like their pot just as much as their guns and their 2A and I'll bet none of those people are saying yes to that question.

I am not clear why I should care about family squabbles, a gun thrown in the trash, and Hunter’s addiction. Trump’s brother died of drug addiction, and I thought Ivanka was thrown out of her expensive fancy school for either drugs or for flashing her breasts out a window. I do not really care about either situation.

Meanwhile, Don Junior is posting videos of himself wasted on Twitter.

Obviously, these people have problems.

Whatabout! Whatabout! Whatabout! Whatabout!

Is that all you’ve got?

I do not see Hunter as having done anything wrong. Even the permit application was fine, assuming that Hunter was not then a user or addict. SS's involvement was not really confirmed.

Appropriate action???? No. Locked in a safe? That would work. And if his frame of mind was disturbing, possibly a call to a shrink, if either she or he had one, or to police to consider involuntary assessment and potentially 72 hour hold.

The person who did find the gun turned it into the store manager. Plenty of other people who dumpster dive would not. It could easily end up in the hands of a kid, it could end up pretty much anywhere. As I recall, the undocumented guy on the West Coast (the one that caused a lot of ruckus about illegal aliens killing people) found an abandoned gun which went off, killing the victim by accident.

I’d give $5,000 to buy that gun now. I’d display it in the NRA Museum.

“The gun that the president’s crackhead son bought, committing a felony by breaking a gun law his own father wrote”.

Beautiful. Friggin’ beautiful.

Those texts sure look like a disinformation campaign. It’s a shame some Americans believe anything if it fits their agenda. I do not think a man is guilty of anything if a handgun is stolen from his locked trunk by someone who took his keys.

Hunter Biden is a criminal.

If daddy Biden allows it, he will be prosecuted.

Where is your proof the texts are a “disinformation” campaign?

“Hunter Biden told his therapist in 2018 that his lover and brother's widow, Hallie Biden, left his .38 handgun in a grocery store trashcan – prompting a police investigation.

Hunter claimed that when Delaware cops found the gun 'the FBI and the Secret Service' got involved, and that Hallie told officers she took the weapon because she was 'afraid for the kids' and 'because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem', in texts found on his abandoned laptop.

A copy of a police report obtained by news site Politico confirmed the October 23, 2018 incident in Wilmington.“

So these texts were found on his laptop, and Politico corroborated the incident with the actual police report.

How is that disinformation?

And everyone was completely silent about it. Amazing.

Meh. You guys gave Trump a pass on literally everything. It’s hard to take your outrage seriously now.

No kidding.

I don’t get it. How are people not caring about this?

This is not some guy who Biden has nothing to do with. Hunter rides around on Air Force One.

I am sorry, I missed the announcement that Hunter is working in the White House as a senior advisor to the President. When did that happen? Something like that must be relevant here.

Hunter is troubled, no one is denying that. What exactly is the wrong that Is relevant to Biden in his role as President? Did Joe Biden pull strings to get his son to not be prosecuted for a crime? I am not seeing that. Is this evidence of mental health issues, why yea it is. It is sad.

We don’t care because there is no there there with regard to Joe’s competence or moral values, he loves his son and admits his son’s past failings. Ivanka getting Chinese parents while working at the White House? That I care about.
