Just stay inside if you feel that way - the rest of us can go out and enjoy life. |
There will be no response to this because facts only matter when they support the narrative. |
| Once I am vaccinated I will get some beauty services done (while masked) and outdoor dining (its almost summer!). Thats going to be the extent of my partay. Will continue to socialize with friends (some vaxxed, some not) outside unless all the group have vaccines. If its too difficult to tell, we will be outside. I will continue to wear a mask in the same way I have done until now - in most situations except distanced outdoor exercise, putting it on when someone is close. I especially dont want to cause additional worry for someone who has not been vaxxed by coming close to them without my mask. They have no idea if I have a vaccine or not, the science on being a carrier isnt fully out, and it's moral support. We need to get through this as a country and keep the pressure up on politicians that everyone who wants a vaccine gets one as soon as possible. And then yes, we need to keep the pressure up to vaccinate kids once safe vaccines are developed. |
Are you serious? Montgomery County, Silver Spring in particular has the highest rates in the state. PG may have more positives, but fewer deaths. |
And I'll enjoy a less crowded town when this is all over. |
Please look at the recent numbers over past few weeks. Moco has some of the lowest on critical dimensions - positivity rates, 7 day averages etc. it’s been running lower than the state averages for weeks. On deaths, 49% of Moco deaths were nursing homes. The data on this is hard to find and the moco dashboard stopped reporting this but if you dug into the numbers, Moco was the worst in the state. |
“The sky is falling” only works a couple times - at most. |
Stop with the pesky facts. |
Yeah I’m not sure I agree with the degree to which Hogan relaxed restrictions, particularly since schools are just opening up in several counties, but good god some of the outdoor mask wearing is ridiculous. Such a region of extremes. |
Anyone who is that worried about catching covid passing someone for two seconds on a walk has issues. Sorry, I’ve played that game when rates were high and it was cold but pretty much over that now. I’ll continue with most of the other things you describe though. |
There is a ton of evidence that indoor dining is a bad idea and that the virus spreads amongst unmasked people in restaurants. Most people are not vaccinated. Do the math! Oh yeah! You can't. You're too stupid! This is not fearmongering. All you a-holes out there ripping off your masks prematurely are the selfish bullies. No one is hiding in basements! We are not in lockdown. We are at mile 24 of the marathon and you are quitting. I really hope we don't all pay for your stupidity and selfishness. |
Why can't everyone be as reasonable as you? |
I’m fine with them slow walking this a bit because any jump in the metrics and schools will not open. That has to be the focus right now. However, I always sense that half of Elrich’s decisions are to spite the governor, so I hope he uses some common sense and relax some restrictions (e.g., outdoor pools) and at some point align with the state. If MoCo has much stricter restrictions than the state and DC/NoVA through summer, eventually it will just be hurting MiCo businesses but not really stopping residents from engaging in activities elsewhere. |
Ok, moron. Where's the evidence? Math? Please show your work. |
There is plenty of evidence it is airborne. Eat outdoors. |
