Lmfao pay 5 k for that shit. Rep the dollar |
| I’m guessing games won’t be rescheduled until at least March to allow time for more mass vaccination. Looks like Jeff Cup happening in March so maybe things will have calmed down by then... |
When you HHI is as high as ours, what's $5K. It's disappointing but not because of the money. We'll find other opportunities to pay so it's OK in the grand scheme of things. |
And that my friends in competitive youth soccer in the USA in a nutshell. |
So solve it then, or do you just like to complain? |
All youth sports, not just soccer. And not just sports. |
So maybe complaining about it is not worthwhile. But I should SOLVE it? What? |
|
What's to solve? Affluent kids play fancy youth soccer in the USA. It is a business and they have managed to make it a successful one. Play local ball or school ball because those are much more affordable.
You need too pick your battles. The world spins on even if competitive soccer is for well off kids. |
Yeah, like Rodman’s daughter. |
Huh? SHe is a college player, not a youth player club player anymore and she one of a tiny tiny handful that will try to play professional women's soccer. SHe has little to do with the big business fancy youth club sports. They are expensive activities for well off kids with a very very very very few exceptions of ones that people might pay to watch - and in the case of women's' pro soccer - that is a big might.. |
You mean the daughter of a multi millionaire from the biggest and most powerful youth female club in the US? Yeah, okay. |
what does she have to do with the regular old business of youth soccer? she is a unique very atypical player of freak ability, resources and and fame. |
You got the point ... complaining is not worthwhile, unless you're willing to help solve the problem. Example: start a GoFundMe for under privileged youth and develop a team or league where all coaches are volunteers (but good, experienced ex-players/coaches) and charge minimal fees and use the donation to cover rest of expenses to break even. Then teach this kids how to play and kick the ECNL/GA/MLS academy teams' butts. |
| Cheaper soccer already exists though more local teams and leagues. And school ball is available to the athletes in the school district. And if you want drop loads on plane tickets and hotels, you can play in one of the high cost, high travel, "faux pro" youth leagues. Something out there for everyone I think. |
VA just traveled to FL. So doubtful you are correct |
