When will in-person and CARES slots "winners" be notified? And how?

I don’t think it’s the only way but I think it was the only way with the WTU!

You never know - because DCPS did not negotiate in good faith.

Who needs Russian trolls when DCPS does such a good job of feeding the "WTU is evil" beast here on DCUM. It is so funny how many of you self-identified intellectuals have bitten so very hard. There are pages on this thread blaming everyone but DCPS for this last minute goat rodeo.

how many of the families on the call are homeless?
at risk?
ELL?
Child with an IEP?

Given that they participated in a group parent teacher conference after the scheduled date, I would guess they are not the target for bringing back

3 kids are ELL including mine, 2 receive assistance.

One mom openly cried about how hard it is.

No she doesn’t want to send her kid back

Stop replying with facts that don't match their narrative. It makes it harder for them to hide behind faux liberal concern.

We just got our spot emailed for our daughter who has an IEP. No seats for our other two (hopefully we will be offered a CARES seat). Crying tears of gratitude, our daughter just cannot engage with online learning. Thinking of all my fellow parents whose kids are struggling and wishing you good vibes !!

Congratulations!!! And thank you for the good vibes. I'm maniacally checking my email and getting upset that we haven't been offered a seat (yet?).
