Look at their last game. And in prior year, looks like bad JV lacrosse.

This team doesn't exist anymore in case you need more evidence that you're delusional.

Can boys get noticed and recruited their Junior year or is Sophomore year the only real time to get noticed? Also, what about summer and fall of Senior year or does that never happen?

Can only commit after 9/1 of junior year so top juniors have been coming off the board over the past 2 months. Many of top destinations look like they have pretty full classes of 2022s but Ivy schools still have a bunch of spots—they need to see how players’ academic profiles for. I think schools will slow down now and see who looks good during November play days. And yes I think players can get picked up their senior years if they have a strong summer. Also there tends to be movement on the fall of senior year as some commits decommit to chase what they think is a better opportunity.

Good for developmental players on DCE orange to get reps and get better against similar developmental players on other club teams. But blowing horn about it is a bit much especially in the Fall.

I think the PP was talking only to the fact that someone said that NL and ML are better at every year than DCE from 2023 on. Not blowing a horn on a DCE orange B team. All three clubs are great options and offerings. DMV is lucky to have some choices and I'm pretty sure that 8-9thh grade teams can probably compete well against each other on any given day. Perhaps 2025 MadLax is better than the others, at that age group but a lot of time to go for 8th graders!!! Lets not pressure those classes for a couple more years., as all of us experienced vets know...a lot will change with that age group

True that—I can’t tell you how many 7th and 8th grade superstars are not in the top 2/3 of club team by junior year—when it really matters

Agreed. The Madlax vs DCE vs NL cross talk often overstates the differences.. All three running quality programs. All three have proven that when they have a great team (e.g. NL 2020, DCE 2021, DCE 2022, Madlax 2019 and many other years) they can do really well in recruiting. Would be nice to see DCE to move down and take over the BLC club teams a little younger just because the BLC organization can leave something to be desired in the administrative side of things to keep that pipeline strong. Would be nice if Madlax management were a little less crazy. Would be nice if NL developed a few more coaches because the main ones are often spread a little thin. But overall a strong set of options for boys lax in the area.

Madlax 2018 was one of greatest club teams in area too

Agree with this. I have boys in both the 2018 grad year and the 2021 grad year. The ML 2018 team and the DCE 21 team are by far the 2 best teams that this area has produced in a long time. Winning. Commitments. Skill level. Competitiveness. I saw both and they both had those things at a really high level. Would have loved to see those 2 teams square off as it would have been epic.

I think even Madlax would say their 2019 team was better than the 2018

2018 ML had Epstein and kid from ESP who was going to UNC for lax but then got football offer from Stanford. I don’t think so.

We will se about this in 5 years. NL teams at the younger ages (27-30) win almost every game against MadLax, BLC...

DCE 21 is the best team in DMV history no question. With MadLax 2018 and Next Level 2020 coming in close. Next Level was also just taken over by the new owners ~5 years ago, so the 21&22 teams were based on MadLax & DCE scraps, while their 23&24 are both top 10.
