That number includes associate degrees. I'm not sure that really counts. My sister got an associate degree in secretarial school a looooong time ago. She would not call herself "educated". And I'm sure you are aware, but not all degrees are equal. And I say this as someone who went to a B rated state univ.

Also, as a whole, Asian Ams. are the most educated - that includes men and women. But, if you split it out by gender and race, then that's a different story.

However, regardless, that is really really good news. Certainly, black women are much more educated than black men.

If you’re White, Black or Asia and you think you’re better/smarter than the other race, it’s shows how completely ignorant and uneducated you are. Same exact thing if you are a man or woman.

What don’t you understand about my post right above yours?

I am Asian but I know and friends with many highly educated black men and women. I even know lots of non-college educated Black men and women that are much more intelligent than their White counterparts.

So my question to you, what your reason for posting you statement? Do you feel that inadequate about yourself?

Yes, you can cut statistics many ways to say many things. Your last comment was unnecessary. White women are also more educated than white men.

White students also use drugs and commit suicide at higher rates than minorities. The fact remains that if you are a wealthy white family, your kids will excel in any school. The difference is the environment. Whiter environments are usually deemed by white parents to be better. But that is entirely subjective, depending on what you think is "better", and I think that w's are overrated because "lots of whites and asians" doesn't fit with my perception of "better."

Most schools with a magnet, which artificially inflates the score on Greatschools. Remember that unless your kid happens to be in that magnet, the are not getting the benefit of the magnet.

Examples:

Elementary school: Lucy Barnsley ES
Middle school: Roberto Clemente MS
High school: Richard Montgomery

The reason I posted it is to further expand on the other PPs statement that black women are the most educated demographic. It's a misleading statement. Data doesn't lie.

? I mentioned that last statement because the thread was about educated black women. You are reading too much into that statement.

That doesn't mean the rest of the school isn't good. Test scores mostly reflect SES/income level. IMO, a school is "good" when it does a good job of educating a significant size of lower income kids.

Wootton is not predominantly (50% or more) Whites as you see below as compared to other W schools.

Wootton: 44% White, 37% Asian.

WJ: 54% White, 18% Hispanics

Whitman: 67% White, 15% Asian

Churchill: 50% White, 28% Asian.
