Because the area wasn't cleared out for a photo op. It was cleared out - people escorted to an area where the police had control. And, it looks like their plan actually worked. |
Are you Christian? You think speaking out against police violence and a man using your religion as a photo op moment is political?? |
Trumpeters have become the cheaper Big Government tyrants that they always accused Of Democrats of being.
Who remembers their panic over Jade Helm? Yeah, that’s actually Republicans enacting it. Vile traitors to the Constitution. |
I KNOW I am right. |
Because to be a republican now is apparently anti-Christian and pro-martial law |
I agree with pp. There was no police violence last night. |
If they dispersed as asked, would they have been ‘gassed’? |
And this is why we are shunning you. What a shameful, unAmerican thing to say. |
You guys understand that most protesters are not out there rioting and looting right? Please stop conflating these 2 groups. Peaceful protesters were attacked. Even an Australian journalist was attacked and the embassy is asking for an investigation. |
Shunning me?? Oh, how very painful - LOL. Again, if they dispersed as asked, would the police have had to use tear gas? |
I’ve seen the footage. It’s kind of everywhere. What do you call it? |
You Cons need to stop lying. Here’s Bowser in the Post this morning disagreeing with the shameful photo op: Some local officials were livid. D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser upbraided Trump on Twitter: “I imposed a curfew at 7pm. A full 25 minutes before the curfew & w/o provocation, federal police used munitions on peaceful protesters in front of the White House, an act that will make the job of @DCPoliceDept officers more difficult. Shameful! DC residents — Go home. Be safe.” |
The clergy member who described the incident was on church property and was not asked to do anything but instead was forced off with no warning. Yet you are defending the cowardly actions taken to create a photo op. Shameful. |
Oh, shut up. You know you are whining about "left intolerance." Yes, shunning. Not our friendship, not our money. This is beyond politics. |
Stop deflecting with this bs about being asked. Several accounts, including from the pastor of the church, say they weren’t asked, that the police just started charging. Bottom line: the president disrupted a peaceful protest for a cheap photo-op. WTF cares if he asked or not. |
