It’s short why does it need a nickname?

Nicknames don’t have to be standard or make sense. Exhibit A: Richard/Dick.

This is an old thread but I know a Petra and she is adorable. I don’t think she goes by any nicknames but Petra is such a cute name, I’m
not sure she needs one.
