Tesla CyberTruck

Around me it's white suburban men driving them. I'm guessing mostly tech-bros since doctors and big law folks gravitate more towards Audi/BMW/Lexus.

No matter who's driving this monstrosity, however, it screams I try way to hard to be cool, yet I still have no taste. What a terrible looking vehicle...

I’d drive one if it were a little bit smaller

Fun? It looks like an Armageddon — zombie apocalypse mobile.

In McLean, we see Indian, Asian, and white guys driving them. There aren’t many on the road yet, so they still look ‘special,’ like Mars landrovers. The kids love to spot one and be the first to shout it out in the car.

They are hideous!

But the best thing about this thread is that in a post above, the ad I’m seeing is for diesel fuel! 🤣

Eighth recall in a little over a year.

“Tesla is recalling more than 46,000 Cybertrucks over the potential for an exterior panel to fall off.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said a cosmetic appliqué along the exterior of the vehicles, known as the cant rail, can delaminate and detach from the vehicle, which the agency said could create a road hazard for motorists.”

Also a Good Samaritan tried to open the doors to save the driver and passengers from a fire and could not.

There's a matte black one in Leesburg that has this little panel flapping as it drives.

I was trying to follow him to tell him. I see it about every weekend at the Costco there. We got separated by a redlight and of course when I showed up to Costco it was nowhere to be seen.

Matte black Leesburg cybertruck, if you're here, you're flapping, bro.

I just spoke to someone who has one and who had only good things to say about it. He was particularly effusive about the full self-driving capability, which he says recently improved to be almost fully hands-off on any drive, operating the vehicle more smoothly and safely than he thinks he can do himself. The drive-by-wire controls were said to be effective, and the 4-wheel steering was described as providing sports-car like handling at both low and high speeds, despite the vehicle's 7000 lb weight. Clearly a fan.

How old is it? Does he know about the flapping pieces?

I’ve never seen a woman driving one.

It's rare to see women driving any large pickup truck-type vehicle, from any brand.
