Trump-Russia is real. |
I’m suggesting that it’s blown beyond the point of recognition. Trump did what Obama did to Israel regarding foreign aid. Regarding him wanting to get to the bottom of Ukraine’s meddling for Clinton in 2016? I think it’s a valid pursuit. Biden would not even be a part of this had his son not been involved with Burisma and in the China dealings. Anyone with half a brain can see that he got those positions because of his father. Not a crime in itself - don’t really care - but any liberal who thinks Biden got those positions because of his credentials is smoking too much DC weed. |
Witholding congressionally authorized funds for personal gain is illegal on several fronts. Obama never did that. |
Jeez. I'm the PP who noted that best whistleblower lawyer in the country happens to also be one of the very many people who tweet. Whatever a person tweets, they can be professional. Up in a couple years ago, this wasn't a crazy concept. As for "Obama did it too", that's nonsense. Not even worth addressing. |
The whistleblower protection law is a joke. It's only a joke under this current administration. No one is protected because he has crooked lawyers who twists everything around and the demand anyone who goes against the administration to be revealed and shamed. |
Your antecedent is unclear. Is this the whistleblower or Trump who has crooked lawyers? |
Trump obviously. |
As you said, utterly irrelevant to Trump's misconduct. This is not hard: Trump intentionally withheld money Congress had authorized for Ukraine's defense to extort the Ukranian President to make false claims to make it look like Joe Biden was corrupt so that he would be damaged in the primary. There is no dispute about these facts. It is is extortion, and it is grounds for impeachment. This is also beyond dispute. Everything else is false spin and whataboutism and irrelevant to the undisputed truth. Trump and Co. hope they can fool you into thinking that what he did is normal and no big deal and that everyone does it. Don't buy it. It isn't true. |
Love how the new talking point of Dems is "extortion."
Interesting that the Ukrainian government was not aware of funds being held when said "extortion" occurred. Even the Ukrainian president said there was no pressure to take any kind of action. And, they got their funds without doing anything the Dems are accusing Trump of asking them to do. Sort of blows "extortion" out of the water. |
Extortion and Bribery are the laws being violated. "Quid pro quo" is not a law. Neither is "Collusion" - it is how Trump and the GOP spn machine win the war of words, so let's call the crimes what they are, extortion and bribery. Bribery is specifically listed in the US Constitution as an impeachable and removable offense. And yes, the Ukrainians were aware of the con: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/07/world/europe/ukraine-trump-zelensky.html |
I want this to be called "bribery" -- extortion is stlll too challenging a concept and, frankly, too big a word for most of the Fox News crowd. It's easy to show that Trump offered to release military aid only once Zelensky announced investations into Biden. That's bribery. And bribery is specifically listed as a reason Congress *shall* impeach the President. |
Isn’t Trump Jr. violating Melania’s anti-bullying campaign? |
That is incorrect. Ukraine absolutely knew that they were being extorted over the military assistance. Volker, who is trying to have it both ways, was actively involved in insisting that the Ukrainians to draft a public statement about opening investigations before the end of September so Trump would release the military assistance before the fiscal year ended. Zelensky is afraid to say it because he knows he has to kiss Trump's ass or Trump will give Putin the okay to take more of Ukraine. The U.S. security assistance for Ukraine was being held hostage by Trump, Mulvaney, Giuliani, Pompeo, Sondland, Volker, et al. It is indisputable. |
Neither did Trump |
