If you are in your mid 30s-40s and your face looks good

I’m missing all these gorgeous women I guess. Look, most of us look our age. I look like a nice looking 40 year old. There is a lot of delusional nuts in these threads. I do Botox and have fillers. I see a derm for them. Never a med spa.

If you’re fine looking your age, basic skincare routine others have discussed is fine, but if you want jlo you’ll need basic plus fillers, Botox, lasers, unless you’re a genetic miracle whose skin doesn’t age.

I find it so idiotic when people reference celebrities who they've only seen either in print, on film, or in person with professional makeup.

You’d have to be blind to not see that jlo looks very young filters/makeup/photoshop or not, and furthermore, to not see the noticeable difference between GP and JLo.

I'm 39. I spend about $1200 annually on botox and $500ish on fillers.

My skin care is okay. I mostly use The Ordinary products- retinoid, niacinamide, etc. I also use Skinmedica Lytera which is magic. So on skincare maybe $300 per year.

Nothing for me. I looked really good up until 46.

A lot of stress--deaths in family--did a number on me. I don't think I look as good now.

I am also underweight--just lost another two pounds--so I might have something scary wrong with me.

If I can gain 5-10 lbs, that will be my "Botox/filler."

I do not like the look of Botox or fillers. When I see women with dyed-blonde hair and filler faces, I'm sort of grossed out. You can tell their faces are rather frozen in place.

Sleep, water and healthy food all help.

No offense but it probably shows. I think OP wants to hear from attractive people, not boring 33 year olds with acne who can't be bothered to wash their face.

NP here. Please. 90% of it is genetic.

This is true. My mother and her mother didn't wrinkle much. I doubt they used sunscreen and one of them smoked!

Their faces wrinkled a little and they sagged a bit, but they looked really good for their ages.

OP asked for advice whose “face looks good” not “gorgeous.” Someone can have fabulous hair or great skin or perfect teeth (or any particular nice feature) and not be gorgeous.

Sun screen didn’t even exist until the mid or maybe late 70s, so your mother and grandmother didn’t even have the option of using sunscreen when they were young. Genetics is definitely a huge part of how people look as they age.

Good for you! But no one wants this answer.

Meh. This is the skincare equivalent of "I eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink water, and chase around my kids!" Answer for how to get a body like Gisele's. Basically, this is genetics. Or your skin just looks good, but could look better.

Every single 60 year old had as wrinkles. Sorry.

My whole entire maternal side has no wrinkles. Sagging skin, yes. Wrinkles no. And I have aunts in their 80’s.

You'll laugh but I read an article that having orgasms helps your face!!

I have no problem microblading though.

It usually isn’t noticeable when done right lol, you only recognize the bad outcomes (it being obvious is why it’s a bad result!).
I’ve had Botox to smooth my chin (no orange peel look now) and to make my smil look less “gummy” ... don’t knock til you try it!

“Just” good. You sound so ugly.

Fine. I maintain that's there is basically no one who gas skin that couldn't benefit from more than a basic nightly moisturizer, including some kind of retinoid, vitamin C, and regular chemical exfoliation.

I didn't realize botox can help with the orange peel chin thing. Nice. I may have to rethink my botox stance
