I didn’t think we ate THAT clean, until we went to a party with all processed foods

I want to know how OP determined that the banana bread was a shelf stable product from WalMart..without even eating it especially since it is clearly not something she buys. Might have been Grandma's homemade.

Can't you tell when you eat shelf stable food? Can't you tell the difference between homemade and not...?

When did she trash the hostess....?

OP said she didn’t eat it.

OP, Once you eliminate sugar, wheat, and other foods from your diet, your body tells you, in no uncertain terms, how horrible this food is for you and your health.

Clearly, DCU is not the place to discuss even semi-clean eating.

So true on both points. For me, it’s pretty dramatic. I get joint pain, foot pain and a heavy feeling in my legs. For me, add too much dairy to the list.

That doesn’t make me a bad guest. I just don’t tend to eat what is served at parties.

OP here. That’s all I was saying, on an anonymous forum. I had fun at the party. I’m just saying processed food tastes gross and a donut made me feel shaky.

You honestly sound like you might want to get checked for diabetes.

I just want to know more about these "jacked up baked beans"

All the people eating highly processed, high sugar, high calorie and fat foods pay the same for their health insurance as everyone eating healthy.

OP, don't let these bitter DCUMers make you feel bad. They're just ashamed of their gross eating habits. I understand exactly what you're talking about, though I will admit to secretly being thrilled to go to someone's house to find Entemann's powdered sugar donuts or Doritos or mini quiches or whatever crap food they're offering. But I always regret it. I think your digestive system, after a while of not eating highly processed foods, has trouble making the adjustment (I'm certainly not a dietitian, but this is my personal experience as well).

But did they have anything “tasty” to wash it down with?

First post. Hostess put out food that was not up to her standards.

LOL that is the only reason I keep coming back in here, cause I don't care about Karen's clean eating or Becky's tired sounding potato salad.

Here's mine:

No mustard? Boo

I was thinking the same thing. Nobody wants your “potato salad” Karen

Aww, you forgot to comment again when you saw the addendum? Awww, you felt too dumb.

Karen, your potato salad is trash. Nobody wants that or likes you. You and OP should go hide from the "ingredients" together.
