I switched teams. You NEED to serve more than pizza at a party!!!!

When I held parties for my kids in grade school (they're teens now), I always have 3-4 huge pizzas (Costco is great for this, and cheaper), a big bowl of fruit, salad, crackers, cheese, some veggies, different types of drinks, and of course a giant sheet cake. I gave leftovers to guests to take home if they wanted them.

If your guests are quietly starving, then you're not doing it right. You should always provide food and drink or you look like a cheap host. Straight up.

Except, as it has been stated here a million times, outside food is not always allowed. Sometimes cake and pizza is it.
