Whether or not Kavanaugh attempted to rape her is hardly even relevant. Judge's own words celebrating the debauchery that went on at GP should be enough to give any parent pause. |
And just as many know Brett Kavanaugh and say glowing things about him. |
Everyone in America knows her name now. She’s a hero to the left. Next she’ll be running for office. That’s more than worth a little inconvenience to some people |
Wow. I have to believe that you have never been the victim of a violent crime especially a sexual assault. You are lucky. But you have no idea what you are talking about. |
nP. I agree that behavior was unfortunately not uncommon in the ‘80s among jerks who correctly thought they could get away with it back then. But I’ve never seen yearbook pages like that from the 80s. I thought that was appalling and indicated the school was well aware of, and at least implicitly condoned, this awful behavior.
Public, private, Catholic, secular—is never seen anything like those yearbook pages. |
Have you heard the term...perception is reality? Whether the "elite" narrative is deserved or not, interest in the school from prospective applicants is very high. There will still be 4 applications for every 1 slot. |
Those year book page comments were like that at STA Albans too |
Agree regardless of allegations the yearbook isn’t what I would think of a Supreme Court Justice. I was a teen once and we didn’t write stuff like that. What is Devil’s Triangle mean anyway? What about boofing? |
My DD has some wonderful, polite, mature friends at Prep. They are total gentlemen around me and their parents have been very considerate when they all go out socially.
That said, a friend’s son runs with a different crowd there and they are more savvy and athletic. Yes, they will probably be in some trouble before long, but I see it as more “group think” than inherently bad boys. They are trying to be cool and fit in (where as the other group doesn’t care about their perceived popularity!) I think the old adage is true: You will see what you are looking for. You want to say it’s nerdy? Those boys will stick out to you. You want to say they’re all jocks? That’s what you’ll focus on. The truth is there is a bit of everything there. Just like every other school. The one thing there is more of is wealth. |

Hmm let’s see... bunch of white entitled dudes? Yep, would never consider a sending my children there. Being raised in a rich in a fancy house with Canada goose jackets and Gucci sneakers breeds the kind of entitlement that creates rapists like Kabanaugh and Brock Turner. There were these dudes at my public school too, just not as many. But they were ALWAYS the boys who got a brand new car for their 16th birthday and wore $100 polo shirts. F them. |

My daughter goes to another school. She said the girls stay away from Prep boys. They regard them, by and large, as arrogant “asshole jerks.” Prep’s alumni culture seems quite strong across the generations. |
Many Holton and Stone Ridge students do. |
Most high schools from that era, public or private, have similar comments in them. |
