Georgetown Prep is taking a beating with this Kanvanugh scandal...does it deserve it?

They are publishing pages of the yearbook, just can't believe some of the things that those boys said. Seems like they didn't have an adult supervising yearbook production.

OP, why are you afraid of the DC location for Gonzaga? There are many boys from Bethesda/Potomac/Rockville who commute to Gonzaga daily. The DC location makes it an even more unique experience, but I am sure you have heard all about this. Academics just as good as Prep...both are Jesuit. I just feel as though my son had an experience so very unique that he never would have had in suburban Prep.

We considered Gonzaga, and to a lesser extent St. John's, for our son, but never Prep.

Because they leapt forth to proclaim the accuser- their alum- as a hero, without bothering to check the facts first

Many of the schools - public and private are having issues - pick your poison. There is no good answer and go look at the schools and decide for yourself.

I'm pretty sure it's not so much the schools that are screwed up, it's the boys. Parents are here on DCUM. Not sure what kind of valuable info you will get posting here and asking them.

OP back. Really? I really believe and support Catholic education and from the moment I moved here, I heard GP was the best place for boys. I really didn't consider Gonzaga because of the DC location. Avalon seemed to small and something about Landon seemed to privileged.

And if anyone is wondering why I'm asking for my 5 year old, I like to make plans, even 8 years out.

What about St. Albans or the Heights or St. Anselm's? And lots of boys make the commute to Gonzaga from Prep's area. Is there a particular reason you think an all-boys high school will automatically be best for your DS? What about St. John's?

I don't think most people would say that GP's population is less privileged than Landon's.

Her story might not contain the fact either.

Did you see the official statement from the school? They believe all voices should be heard.

It’s an all girl school ffs, of course they are going to take this opportunity to make sure all the girls realize they can and should say something and not be scared, AND they did it while saying everyone deserves to be heard (including the accused!!) I think the head of school handled it well.

I think there are ways people pool to commute to Gonzaga. I also would recommend you look at St. John's in MD just over the border. Seems like a great school.

He's getting confirmed. Deal with it.
