I've seen many Baltimore parents look like they might have a stroke when their team is only up by 3 or 4 on our Virginia team.

Earlier in this thread there was mention of Stars being a feeder program for Capital. Does anyone know the percentage of girls on Stars 8th grade team that make Capital Blue?

Well there are 2 Stars teams and 2 Capital teams. Usually all of the Stars blue (A team) players make one of the two Capital teams and maybe a handful of Stars black (B team) make Capital as well. But not always of course.

Stars usually puts 50-60% of its top team on Capital Blue and the rest make Orange.

I have also heard Panthera is struggling to field a team after they turned folks off at the tryout. The team was billed as being run by the Yorktown coach but then when kids came to the tryout the Visi coach steeped all over the Yorktown coach to make it clear she was in charge. That really turned parents off she seems like a control freak.

Just saw the roster the 2022 team looks like a roster of girls cut from other programs. Mostly girls looking for a home and they had roster spots. Its good these girls had an option and will help grow the game. So much for knocking Capital off.

This is how I would rank the 2022 club programs in the metro area after seeing rosters.

1. Capital Blue
2. Capital Orange
3. MC Elite
4. Virginia Metro
5. Crash
6. Cardinal
7. Panthera

Impressed with what Crash did this year considering the new clubs I thought they would struggle. Capital again pulls the best crop of girls. Cardinal is a program in disarray they have a new program director who never played the game not sure that will workout long term. The 2022 Cardinal team has very little 5 star talent and a lot of politics in the program. Virginia Metro has some really talented offensive girls but a weak defense. All in all not the best class we have seen seems like the age group lacks the real talent of the last couple of years.

Maybe wait until same games are played before jumping to conclusions. It takes a few years to build a new program, anyway.
