no way - i can understand a desire for opening up more doors for western europeans. wanting eastern europeans to come just means you are viewing immigration on racial terms (though some could argue slavs and other eastern europeans aren't really white in the sense of what whiteness meant here historically).

Poles are not welcome by many in the UK, where things aren't quite viewed through muddled race terms.

Just like I couldn't waltz over to live in switzerland tomorrow if i wanted to - the swiss get to define who they let in and who they dont. I wonder if neoliberals would ever browbeat israel into being 'restrictionist'.

Most jobs really don't need a college degree (outside of STEM/professional jobs, and even then you can train quite a bit of that on the job). We just use a college degree as a proxy for IQ exams since Griggs v. Duke Power made them illegal to use.
