Christmas with the Trumps: The beginning of the Kardashian-esque constant social media?

Not really, pp. I'll be in my office tomorrow focusing on social justice advocacy. I'm good.

Bahahahaha! Don't forget the big ol' self-congratulatory pat on your own back!

This is why the rest of American doesn't take you seriously.

If you think we take you seriously, well, bless your heart.

Malia Obama twerking (badly) on stage at a rap concert was embarrassing. I know she's a teen and allowed fun but still it was cringe. And her friends present at said concert were all white. That bugged me... why was she getting crunk with a bunch of white girls?

Ivanka's camisole is not embarrassing; that's just fat women being jealous. The color and cut was not revealing, she probably had it layered with another top and de-layered and took the photo casually with her husband and family. Only reachers find that embarrassing.

Maybe she should hijab or burka it up to please the flesh haters. Gawd.

Not a camisole, pp. It's a floor length black silk negligee. Weird.

But a floor length burka isn't weird? I am amazed at the lengths ppl will go to defend burkas, hijabs, etc, and call Ivanka tacky and weird. Talk about bending yourself into shapes for your pretzel logic.

2016 and still judging women by their "scandalous" clothing?

You are the only person talking about hijabs and burkas. Once again, the conservative crazy is erroneously conflating separate issues in a misguided attempt at crafting an argument. Sigh.

I do, however, enjoy your tireless commitment to defending Ivanka's bizarrely inappropriate black silk negligee holiday pic. Can't wait to see what she wears in her NYE post.

Not sure if you're aware, but there are multiple PPs on this thread both defending Ivanka Trump, and criticizing her. You are not responding to only one poster.

I can honestly say I haven't seen any behavior by Ivanka Trump that I would call "embarrassing." Not even the wearing of a nightgown in a picture - at night even! Before bed! What I do find embarrassing are the liberals on DCUM seizing on one singular image which isn't even particularly inappropriate, and blowing it into a ludicrously huge deal. You people are cringe-worthy.

That's what you find embarrassing? Not the Trump supporters with the heil Hitler salute? Huh. Strange priorities

Not the PP. Here's a question for you, oh sanctimonious, snotty poster. Please tell us when Ivanka Trump has EVER been dressed inappropriately. Obviously, you're scandalized by her black maxi dress/nightgown. But give us some instances of other "inappropriate" clothing. Can't think of any? Didn't think so. So why on earth are you making this one, *very minor* incident such a BFD? We'll wait while you painstakingly craft another stupid post.

Well, bless your heart, pp.

Yes, we know there are lots of conservative crazies on DCUM and this thread in particular. I was merely using the singular term as a catchall for that particular breed of crazy. No clue why you took it personally and felt compelled to weigh in on such a nonissue. Carry on.

Umm... you do know that PP's reference to a hijab or burka was FACETIOUS, right? Good grief. It's so fun conversing with people who take everything literally.

She posted a pic of herself with her children in a black silk negligee. 'Nuff said.

Google images of Ivanka and lots of inappropriate things pop up. Honestly, I couldn't care less what she wears as long as it's not lingerie. Even the Kardashians know better than to wear lingerie in pics with their children.

I do believe the left has suddenly decided "slut shaming" is perfectly acceptable. As long as the subject is a conservative, of course.

Carry on, hypocrites!

I'm not reading or hearing outrage in this thread. Just a question of her choice of clothing for a picture she chose to make public.

Make your family photos public, put yourself up for criticism. That's the way it works and she knows that.

Ivanka could have dressed appropriately. They seem desperate for attention.

Appropriate according to whom? You?

And btw, I'm only responding the way you liberals would, if the tables were turned.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, it is never appropriate to post a picture of yourself in a black silk negligee online unless you are a Kardashian. Period.

Honey, you seem obsessed with the Kardashians, so here are some pics of them dressed in almost nothing, alongside their kids. Somehow, I don't think we'll see Ivanka exposing this much of herself, with or without her kids around. Enjoy!

Thank gawd it was floor length. I can't imagine Ivanka being so bold as to flash an ankle or -gasp-her knees. Shame shame everybody knows your name, 'Vanka!

It's my personal dream that someday women are caned publicly for inciting men with their flesh and inflaming their lusts with skimpy, revealing clothing. Especially if the woman dares to do so under the watchful eye of her husband. Let's bring back the good, solid, judgmental culture that made America great!

Those are bathing suits, not lingerie.

Ivanka is in Hawaii in a skimpy bikini, and I couldn't care less. A skimpy bikini pic taken by a paparazzi doesn't bother me.

This is what bothers me: Ivanka having her nanny snap a family holiday pic of her in a black silk negligee and then posting it herself (on purpose) for the world to see.

You clearly don't think this is strange, and that's fine. Many of us do think it's weird. Although I am surprised that other media outlets haven't really discussed it...I suppose they are scared of what Donald might do.
