Christmas with the Trumps: The beginning of the Kardashian-esque constant social media?

It's my personal dream that someday women are caned publicly for inciting men with their flesh and inflaming their lusts with skimpy, revealing clothing. Especially if the woman dares to do so under the watchful eye of her husband. Let's bring back the good, solid, judgmental culture that made America great!

No worries! It's alive and well here on liberal DCUM.

Out of curiosity, I googled these pictures to see if there was any criticism of what she was wearing on the Internet at large (outside of DCUM, of course). Haven't found anything - negative or positive - about what she was wearing that night. Clearly, it's just Trump-haters in general who are going to grab at even the most innocuous of things and blow them far out of proportion. Really pathetic!

Malia Obama twerking (badly) on stage at a rap concert was embarrassing. I know she's a teen and allowed fun but still it was cringe. And her friends present at said concert were all white. That bugged me... why was she getting crunk with a bunch of white girls?

Ivanka's camisole is not embarrassing; that's just fat women being jealous. The color and cut was not revealing, she probably had it layered with another top and de-layered and took the photo casually with her husband and family. Only reachers find that embarrassing.

Maybe she should hijab or burka it up to please the flesh haters. Gawd.

Not a camisole, pp. It's a floor length black silk negligee. Weird.

But a floor length burka isn't weird? I am amazed at the lengths ppl will go to defend burkas, hijabs, etc, and call Ivanka tacky and weird. Talk about bending yourself into shapes for your pretzel logic.

2016 and still judging women by their "scandalous" clothing?

You are the only person talking about hijabs and burkas. Once again, the conservative crazy is erroneously conflating separate issues in a misguided attempt at crafting an argument. Sigh.

I do, however, enjoy your tireless commitment to defending Ivanka's bizarrely inappropriate black silk negligee holiday pic. Can't wait to see what she wears in her NYE post.

Not the PP. Here's a question for you, oh sanctimonious, snotty poster. Please tell us when Ivanka Trump has EVER been dressed inappropriately. Obviously, you're scandalized by her black maxi dress/nightgown. But give us some instances of other "inappropriate" clothing. Can't think of any? Didn't think so. So why on earth are you making this one, *very minor* incident such a BFD? We'll wait while you painstakingly craft another stupid post.

She posted a pic of herself with her children in a black silk negligee. 'Nuff said.

Google images of Ivanka and lots of inappropriate things pop up. Honestly, I couldn't care less what she wears as long as it's not lingerie. Even the Kardashians know better than to wear lingerie in pics with their children.

Honey, you seem obsessed with the Kardashians, so here are some pics of them dressed in almost nothing, alongside their kids. Somehow, I don't think we'll see Ivanka exposing this much of herself, with or without her kids around. Enjoy!

Those are bathing suits, not lingerie.

Ivanka is in Hawaii in a skimpy bikini, and I couldn't care less. A skimpy bikini pic taken by a paparazzi doesn't bother me.

This is what bothers me: Ivanka having her nanny snap a family holiday pic of her in a black silk negligee and then posting it herself (on purpose) for the world to see.

You clearly don't think this is strange, and that's fine. Many of us do think it's weird. Although I am surprised that other media outlets haven't really discussed it...I suppose they are scared of what Donald might do.

I bet Jared bought her the nightgown and thought she looked lovely. If you are bothered by other women's nightgowns please keep your gossip contained to your hairdresser, maiden aunts, or Avon lady. Being stuck in the 60s must be so dull.

Maybe you should avert your eyes from Ivanka's photos? Maybe you could sniff a perfumed handkerchief until the "vapors" pass?

Not really, pp. I'll be in my office tomorrow focusing on social justice advocacy. I'm good.

Bahahahaha! Don't forget the big ol' self-congratulatory pat on your own back!

This is why the rest of American doesn't take you seriously.

If you think we take you seriously, well, bless your heart.

Oh, sweetie... the feeling is mutual.

Hey, great! We agree on something! Now tomorrow I'll go back to helping people and you'll go back to ... whatever it is you do.

Who the hell cares whether it's bathing suits vs. lingerie? The amount of skin Ivanka was showing was negligible. If she had been wearing a spaghetti-strap tank top, would that have been more acceptable to you? They're in Hawaii, for God's sake - not NY, not DC. They're hanging out with their kids and cousins, at home, relaxed.

If this bothers you so very much, you are clearly in need of therapy. Find something else to obsess upon.

AMEN. There are some real uptight prissies on board tonight. Funny, coming from the "anything goes" leftists who are always crowing about not judging. Though the hypocrisy really isn't surprising.

I think it's because people see the first pic and assume it's a camisole. But if you scroll down and see the full length pic, you realize she's wearing a negligee (and isn't wearing a bra). That's when you wonder what she was thinking when she posted it.

But I agree that it's strange that no other media seems to have picked up on it. It might be because few young people actually wear negligees. Negligees are sort of a throw back to the 1980s. Or maybe it's a rich people thing? Natori negligees are $250-550+.

Oh please. Go back to crying about Michelle obama's arms. Meanwhile, we'll mock the Alt-right Princess if we want to.

Ivanka's weird negligee post is the equivalent of putting a lampshade on your head at a party. Sad, as the PEOTUS woukd say...

The family clearly plans to remain in reality TV mode.

You Trumpies are really taking this criticism to heart for some reason.

Hypocrisy should be noted. And pointed out. And disparaged and or laughed at.

Stop normalizing this bizarre behavior. You have never seen a friend or relative or even a celebrity (aside from a Kardashian) post a family picture in a black silk negligee. It's weird. It's not appropriate for social media.

And Beyonce is a great role model for the Obama girls. I think we know who the true hypocrites are.

AND... mic drop.

You do know that Beyoncé was never in the White House, but Melania as the First Lady bared it all. She bared far more than Beyoncé. Stop deflecting with a false equivalence

Can you show me how what Ivanka is wearing shows more skin than a similar sleepless dress, like this Kenneth Cole?
