No worries! It's alive and well here on liberal DCUM. Out of curiosity, I googled these pictures to see if there was any criticism of what she was wearing on the Internet at large (outside of DCUM, of course). Haven't found anything - negative or positive - about what she was wearing that night. Clearly, it's just Trump-haters in general who are going to grab at even the most innocuous of things and blow them far out of proportion. Really pathetic! |
I bet Jared bought her the nightgown and thought she looked lovely. If you are bothered by other women's nightgowns please keep your gossip contained to your hairdresser, maiden aunts, or Avon lady. Being stuck in the 60s must be so dull. Maybe you should avert your eyes from Ivanka's photos? Maybe you could sniff a perfumed handkerchief until the "vapors" pass? |

quote -
"Those are bathing suits, not lingerie. Ivanka is in Hawaii in a skimpy bikini, and I couldn't care less. A skimpy bikini pic taken by a paparazzi doesn't bother me. This is what bothers me: Ivanka having her nanny snap a family holiday pic of her in a black silk negligee and then posting it herself (on purpose) for the world to see. You clearly don't think this is strange, and that's fine. Many of us do think it's weird. Although I am surprised that other media outlets haven't really discussed it...I suppose they are scared of what Donald might do." Who the hell cares whether it's bathing suits vs. lingerie? The amount of skin Ivanka was showing was negligible. If she had been wearing a spaghetti-strap tank top, would that have been more acceptable to you? They're in Hawaii, for God's sake - not NY, not DC. They're hanging out with their kids and cousins, at home, relaxed. If this bothers you so very much, you are clearly in need of therapy. Find something else to obsess upon. |
AMEN. There are some real uptight prissies on board tonight. Funny, coming from the "anything goes" leftists who are always crowing about not judging. Though the hypocrisy really isn't surprising. |
I think it's because people see the first pic and assume it's a camisole. But if you scroll down and see the full length pic, you realize she's wearing a negligee (and isn't wearing a bra). That's when you wonder what she was thinking when she posted it. But I agree that it's strange that no other media seems to have picked up on it. It might be because few young people actually wear negligees. Negligees are sort of a throw back to the 1980s. Or maybe it's a rich people thing? Natori negligees are $250-550+. |
Oh please. Go back to crying about Michelle obama's arms. Meanwhile, we'll mock the Alt-right Princess if we want to. |
| Ivanka's weird negligee post is the equivalent of putting a lampshade on your head at a party. Sad, as the PEOTUS woukd say... |

The family clearly plans to remain in reality TV mode. |
+1 You Trumpies are really taking this criticism to heart for some reason. |
Hypocrisy should be noted. And pointed out. And disparaged and or laughed at. |
You do know that Beyoncé was never in the White House, but Melania as the First Lady bared it all. She bared far more than Beyoncé. Stop deflecting with a false equivalence |
Can you show me how what Ivanka is wearing shows more skin than a similar sleepless dress, like this Kenneth Cole? https://www.google.com/#q=silk+sleeveless+slip+dress&tbm=shop&spd=2416190212377644934 |
