Cast of Hamilton makes statement to Pence at the end of the show.

Trump is whining about on Twitter. Gosh, he will have a tough 4 years. He can't handle any dissent.

So Obama can get interrupted at the State of the Union, but there is criticism of a respectful message after the show was over?

Trump is a loser. He lost the popular vote and he is so thinned skinned that he will come off the rails at some point. Let's just hope when that happens, there isn't a gang of stormtroopers doing his bidding.

Okay, let me tell you how life really works in Donald Trump world. Trump can pick up the phone and call Jim Nederlander, president of the organization that owns the Richard Rodgers Theater (where Hamilton is performed) and put some financial pressure on the producer. "Hamilton" was a big risk for the Nederlanders, and they took it. But you know there were some pretty hefty financial deals cut to get the show into that particular theater.

Trump and Nederlander speak the same language.
Let's see what happens next.

So Hamilton should be Pence's safe space?

The man cannot distinguish between rudeness and legitimate free speech. Is it a low IQ?

I imagine they have been making a fortune off Hamilton, which is wildly successful. What do you think will happen next?

Whiny conservatives need to go back to their safe space so they don't hear any criticism of their positions. Typical. Suck it up, not everyone is going to agree with you!!!'111

And that, my friends, is corruption. I know your guy is used to it now, but he's the President-elect and can't resort to those tactics any longer.

That's right. How many of the people whining on this thread spoke up about the utter disrespect that a Congressman hurled at the President during his State of the Union speech?

This statement was respectful and was given at the end of the performance. Nothing unAmerican about that.

They'll make even more money?

So we should all be cowed into silence because the president-elect is rich and holds a grudge? And you think this is how "life really works"?

I'm so glad that apparently both sides now agree that "safe spaces" are ridiculous.

Yeah, let's all sit back while Trump bullies his way through the presidency! That'll teach 'em a lesson.

Though not sure what you mean by putting "financial pressure" on the producer. Trump is up to his eyeballs in debt. What kind of money does he have to throw around and what could he even do if he did? Hamilton is raking in the dough now.

Apparently you are unfamiliar with both how popular the show is and how much New Yorkers hate Trump.

They had a job to do - entertain.
They failed at that by feeling the need to deliver a partisan political message.

I'm sorry, I thought the point of Citizens United was that the more speech, the better.
