Same! I'm so jealous of all of you tall beautiful women! My girls ended up short like me, but my son is 6', so I'm happy for him. |
No I love being short |
You revived a six year old thread for this? |
I am tall but my daughter is much shorter than me. She was upset about this and it is true that is harder to get clothes that fit short women well. My mother was short also.
However, I encourage DD to love the body she has. There are pros and cons to both being tall and short and what matters is being comfortable in your own skin. I do like being tall but feel that we get away with less chutzpah than shorter women. Behavior that looks endearingly feisty in short women looks overbearing in tall women. |
It’s mostly good. |
You revived a six year old thread for this deep thought? |
Yes. I hated it in school when I was taller than the boys but I love it now. |
6 feet and love it |
I know some girl called Tall Girl. She’s rich. Well actually she’s not rich but her parents are. Also, I don’t really know her. If she came to my door, I could only guess she was Tall Girl if she was tall. |
I’m 5’8” and I don’t think of myself as tall - just “not short”? I don’t need tall length pants very often. My husband is 6’2” and I have never dated anyone under 5’11” and never thought about it much. |
I would love to be taller. I’m at a great weight if I were 5 inches taller. |
LOL my fave thing about being "tall". I'm 5'8 so definitely not super tall, but my pudge spreads out a little better. |
Glad this thread was bumped. It was started when my now almost 8 year old was first born, and she’s just now noticing she’s almost a full head taller than every other girl (and most boys) in her class. I can absolutely see how it would be hard as a child and teen, but really great to hear that tall women grow to appreciate their height!
As a 5’6” woman, would love to hear any advice for helping her embrace her height. |
Well, that’s a shame! |
Envious. |
