Just another example of DC conservative/frumpiness. Half-tuck looks good -- especially ons lender women with waists. Sloppy and embarrassing? Maybe on you. But not on many other women much chicer than you. And it's been around forever -- this blog post is more than ten years old, but might help you catch a clue. https://www.lecatch.com/2012/04/french-lesson.html ![]() |
It works well for me, but I'm petite and built like a boy. |
+I love it when it’s done well |
Lady, this thread started almost a decade ago. |
Half tuck or back tuck is here to stay, and I love both. It turns a frumpy look into a younger, fresher, more contemporary look. |
Love the half tuck. It only works really well on shirt hems that are curved, otherwise the extra fabric is awkward.
It's flattering to show waist definition even if tummies aren't flat and i don't like to wear skin hugging stuff. Check out the Trinny content on Youtube you'll see her doing it effortlessly. |
For the win. I’ll half tuck till I die. Or get a breast reduction surgery. |
I’m another over-40 half-tucker or front-tucker.
Why would someone think that’s trying too hard? What does that even mean? Are the “try-hard” critics the same ones who are always calling people “strivers?” |
Agree! Why? Also didn’t know this has been a thing for so long. |
Those examples aren’t making your point. |
Oh my god, are you 15 years old? The "French tuck" was around way longer than you've been, sweetheart. We were wearing it in the 80s. |
Half tuck looks silly! |
The one sided half tuck looks ridiculous! |
I don't like the half tuck either.
I miss my waist line and showing it off with a full tuck, tight shirt and jeans, and a belt. Yeah, I'm old. |
Anyone over the age of 16 thinks it looks stupid too |
